Hidden in the city between allotments and houses the city farm is a charming place to visit all year around. In the colder months the animals are still out and about even if the plants are not.

You can take as much or as little away from this visit as you want. Come and pet some goats or get a better understanding of what goes in to making the food that lands on your table. Fun for kids and adults.

Entry is free but you will want to leave a donation. The place is incredibly well managed and as well as operating as a farm there are numerous public engagement activities that you can take part in.

Also, if you get down there soon, its lambing season and you'll get to see the new lambs. I think everyone can agree on that being a good day out.

This is nestled in St Werburghs, visitors can see lots of farm animals and have the chance to buy items from the hand craft gift shop. Good for families or for someone looking for a walk in a city farm.
Near by cafe has excellent offers.

Unfortunately it was raining and even the animals were staying inside! However the cafe was good and unusual and the food was good , if a bit pricey.

This place is idyllic and in the middle of a busy city centre and provides a tranquil haven away from it all - despite being one of the worst weeks for weather and I was passing this place was open and it is such a little gem - whilst everyone was out sledging I was one of the first customers of the day in abnormally quiet place (the deluge was to come once everyone was tired of sledging)

All the food is fresh and cooked on the premises and had a delightful sausage roll and cup of tea - the staff are friendly too

The toilet is out at the back - good for families and the surroundings are very informal - - when I move I hope to come here more often

Keep up the good work
