Hotel is clean and the rooms are good but if you book a twin room you will get a double bed with what I can only describe as a childs bed between the bed and the wall - totally unsuitable for an adult in my opinion - complained to staff in reception area, who just said thats the way they all are - not impressed.
check in is using self service machines - ok there is someone there to help you if need be, but hardly a warm welcome

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your feedback about your stay here.

Our twin rooms are a king size bed and beds settee which is the size of a single bed.
We do have family rooms which we use as twins and these have truckle beds in. We are awaiting delivery of new bed settees to put in the family rooms.
I know this will not help your view of your last visit but I hope it assures you we do listen to what our guest say.

Thank you again.

We stayed here for 3 nights on one of premier in room deals, Its Brilliantly situated for the main shopping areas, handy for the harbour and Stokes Croft.
The room is small but very clean there is a hairdryer and the soap dispensers near the bath and sink are adequate.

There was only 1 hand towel and bath towel supplied But the friendly room staff were happy to supply another 2.
The kettle was the noisiest one ive ever heard we couldn't hear ourselves talk above it very strange! Sugar tea coffee was on minimum but enough to get you going in the morning.

Temperature control was excellent as warm or as cool as you wanted.

No complaints at all about the room. Although when we first arrived we requested a room as high as possible, with a bit of a view, we were told that they weren't ready near the top and to come back in a couple of hours, Unfortunately when we came back the receptionist wasn't there and we had a self check in room on the 4th floor with a view into the opposite building, so a little disappointing.
The room was on the other hand very quite no traffic noise, we had a great sleep.

We didn't use the restaurant facilities so cant comment on those.

If you do stay here go visit Nelson street for some amazing artwork on the buildings, before they are demolished.

Thank you for your comments about your stay.

I will get maintenance to look at the kettle.
We can only put a minimum amount of tea and coffee in each room due to space but we do have extra tea, coffee, sugar and towels on reception for when guest requested them.

Stayed here on business recently. Pretty good location but as with most premier inns pretty basic. If you are not planning to stay in the hotel most of the time then its okay for a bed for the night.

I've always found what made Premier Inns including Bristol Haymarket stand out was the greeting, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Well trained in customer care they are kind and re-assuring..I was a bit disconcerted on last visit in Feb 2012 that we did not get to speak to a member of staff on check-in and just used a machine. PLEASE premier Inn don't go down this road, stick with the personal touch! PS...what happened to the children's packs.

Hi Gavin,

Thank you for your comments about your stay here at the Bristol Haymarket.

I'm sorry you didn't like the kiosk check in's. We do listen to our guest feedback and some guest prefer the quicker check in of the kiosks and some like yourself prefer the desks.
We still have desks in reception, so on your next visit please speak to one of my team and they can check you in on the desk.

Once again thank you for your comments.

Positive Points:
Very clean
Comfortable bed (Can't comment on the extra pull out bed as this wasn't used)
Powerful shower
Beefeater restaurant attached
Spacious bedroom
Lifts
In the centre of Bristol

Negative Points:
Paid for 24hr wi-fi, used for around half an hour then told it was down. It wasnt fixed by the time we left and was told we'd have to claim our money back via some other company
The towels smelt musty

Hi Chelsie,

Thank you for your comments on Tripadvisor.

I am sorry the WI-FI wasn't working during your stay. The Beefeater restaurant next door to the Premier Inn has free WI-FI in the bar area. You are always welcome to sit in there.

Our clean laundry is delivered every day so I will take your comments to them conerning the towels.

Once again I am sorry about the issues you had and assure you that we will do everything in our power to get this right for your next visit.
