“Our 2nd P.I. in as many months, and just as good.”
Reviewed 13 February 2012

We stayed in Premier Inn London, Kensington Olympia, last month and wrote a good review for that; this Bristol monster smack in the middle of Primark-land was just as good, extremely clean and neat, everything you need when staying city-centre for one night. Traffic noise to be expected, very warm room with aircon so you just have to adapt it to suit. It happened to be an icycold weekend so the warmth and bath (rather than just a shower) in the bathroom was additionally lovely. Major downer was the parking, as another reviewer mentioned, NCP charging £20ish for 24hrs, even with 15% discount from P.I. still hurts. So try researching another method....good luck!

Dear Ruthin,

Thank you for your comments on Tripadvisor.

As we are unable to increase our own car parkings spaces on site we have looked into what is avaiable within a short walking distance.
We were offered 15% at the Rupert Street NCP.
The Cabot Circus car park which is at the end of the M32 before you get into Bristol City Centre is cheaper for the 24 hour but our guest will have a 10 minute walk to get to the Premier Inn.
If you need any other help please give my team or myself a call at the Bristol Haymarket Premier Inn.

Standard Premier Inn hotel, that is to say, in general, acceptable
Room was Clean and warm, as was Bathroom
Breakfast was(as is always my experience) more than acceptable and a welcome variety of fare on offer
Two Minor complaints(1) Parking is tricky (had to pay NCP Prices =£20.00 from 1900hrs to 0815!!) Hotel does offer discounted parking but this was full when i arrived
(2) Bar VERY understaffed and had not been trained in the Noble Art of pouring Guiness!!(a big no no)
To summarise, as i said at the beginning, Standard Premier Inn,ie Acceptable for an overnight

Hi Derby,

Thank you for your comments concerning your stay.

I am sorry about the problems you had in the Beefeater bar. I will talk to the General Manager of the Beefeater and pass on your comments.

Nothing better than being able to go a room and being able to watch TV whilst leisurely letting your daily allowance of waste fall out of your bum. Especially after the amazing meals being served in the Beef eater restaurant. Boy do they helps keep me so regular as well.

The only problem with it is you have to keep the door open so the smell will drift into the room.

Room Tip: The higher the room is the further away from the traffic you will be. Two major roads run either sid...

We only stayed here for two nights but it was a good trip with no problems or issues at all. The room was comfortable and clean. Air con was quiet. Would have liked to be able to open window but apart from that absolutely no grumbles. We ate breakfast at the Beefeater and in the main the food was of a high standard. The hotel is well situated so I would definitely stay again.

Excellent location for shopping in Bristol. Poor parking facilities and the cooked breakfast was not warm. However the Beefeater was a great place to eat, good selection of food at a fair price. The staff were excellent, friendly both in the hotel as well as the restuarant.
