Description: The Weavers Tearooms is part of the New Inn, a medieval hall-house, used as an Inn around the 15th century for travellers. Today Weavers continues the tradition of providing a welcome stop, offering a full range of excellent homemade fare. Breakfasts, morning coffee, lunches and afternoon teas; from sandwiches to salads, cakes to cream teas and of course our famous scones. All made here at the Weavers Tearooms. We are a family business who concentrate mainly on good old English cooking. Food “like what mum used to make”. Our aim is always to prepare food to the highest standards, at the same time offering good value for money. Simple, honest and good tasting food.

Lovely spot except it is on the main road and if you sit outside, you are literally on the road side. Good coffee but rather dry scone sadly.

We visited on a glorious sunny Bank Holiday Sunday - a welcome pit stop on a rambling countryside cycle (on the national cycle route).

Nicely set back from the road on the green, we sat out on the deck and had a simply good cuppa. Proper China, extra water etc.

Shame we had had a big breakfast, the bacon sarnies smelled and looked glorious - very hard to resist.

Will be back!

We stopped here on our way to Southwold. It's a lovely building in a beautiful village with parking on the doorstep.

They made excellent flat whites (I'm very fussy) and the cheese scones were delicious. We were just sorry we were heading for a big lunch in Southwold as the cakes and other food on the menu looked very appealing.

The decor was really nice and the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. There was art on the wall and around by local people - a lovely place.

We were disappointed not to get a proper home cooked lunch anymore. Had been looking forward to choice of soup and cooked dinner but its no longer available which is what made me suspect it had changed hands. Reading the latest reviews i see that it now has new owners. I wish them well but a shame the lunch menu is now just the usual old baguettes and quiches. Scone was expensive and very crumbly too. I didnt try the cAkes but they looked fine. I think a tearoom is an asset to the village, and tbh it always seemed incredible hard work for the previous owners. So with such a small team i can see why the new owners would do simpler food. And perhaps thats what most people want anyway. The waitress was very nice but we dont see ourselves making a special trip here for lunch anymore.

Had a really nice lunch in this cosy little tea shop. The waitress was so friendly and attentive and the service was very prompt. I will definately come back when I’m in the area again.
