We had a wonderful stay at The Plough. The food was delicious, lamb and steak cooked to perfection. Quiet after the Easter holiday and the restaurant /bar had a lovely atmosphere, blazing fires and comfy sofas etc.
Our room was furnished to a very high standard, Very comfortable bed and huge bathroom . Would highly recommend this up market pub!

We used The Plough for an overnight stay in March. We wanted somewhere close to the motorway but quiet and boy did this place fit the bill.. Lovely place with friendly staff, just what we needed after a 400 mile drive. Food was very good and our room/suite on the top floor was really nice.
Had a lovely full breakfast and my wife enjoyed her scrambled eggs and smoked salmon before we carried on with our journey to the north of Scotland.
We will definitely stay here again ..

We booked a two night stay in the Bellingham Suite this week for my partner's birthday. Loved the room - absolutely beautiful and can't fault our stay at all which is amazing really. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome, everyone loved Ruby the Dog. We did the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was so good we had to eat in the restaurant the second night too. Food recommendations - try the steak it's amazing ... so much better than any supermarket stuff! And the chocolate delice is to die for. Fabulous breakfast too - thank you so much to all the fab staff especially the young girl who waited on us on our second night (Thurs) all the staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We are looking forward to returning.

Room Tip: Bellingham Suite at the back of the hotel is quiet, huge with a gorgeous bathroom and dog friendly too

Fabulous hotel with the most amazing rooms, the staff are absolutely super, nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful choice at breakfast, an a la carte offering with everything cooked fresh to order. Also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I’d recommend a stay here in a heartbeat.
