A few lovely days away with the family and a couple of well behaved dogs
Nice little cottage with good standard of furniture and fixtures
Good supply of all you need to have a great stay.
Easy access to walks good supply of
Local information WiFi not the fastest but that’s not the point of getting away is it ?
The only downside and it’s not a negative point it’s situation isn’t great your very close to the road side there is a small front garden and a small closed off area to the side so you do have to be very careful as you exit the property keep dogs on leads as you would do as a responsible dog owner the road can get busy but once your in the cottage you hardly hear the small amount of traffic, don’t let this put you off it’s a lovely place.
The pub is 26 steps from the cottage fantastic place good food staff are very friendly and accommodating dogs are allowed in if well behaved.
We had a meal and we also went on new year eve don’t forget it’s a local pub and we were always welcome
You know what it’s like when you walk into village pubs and everyone stops lol not the Red Lion you made to feel very welcomed.
So all in all a good place to stay close to good walks great pub easy reach of Ashbourne for the shops if needed.
The location was very good with Ashbourne only a few miles away. Everything was provided in the cottage, including a pint of milk which was very welcome after a long journey. The cottage was cosy and the wood burning stove a fantastic adition. We'll be back - there was loads to do and see that we didn't fit in.
