“Delicious sweets and perfectly crafted ice cream for everyone to enjoy with friendly service and a smile.”
As quoted by my children!
We have been visiting Edward and vintage for years. Last time we had an unusually bad experience (with a rude member of relief staff) but decided to give them the benefit and return once again. We were not disappointed and was back to the usual friendly and welcoming experience we had always had previously. The homemade fudge was absolutely delicious (especially the peanut butter and chocolate ) and my boys loved the array of traditional sweets on offer and unlike our last visit, were able to mix up bags in smaller quantities of each. You cannot visit the Peak District without visiting here!
Lovely little “olde sweet shop” in the quaint village estate of Tissington. Recommended by our hosts at Bradbourne Mill.
The shop owner is really friendly & passionate about his business - who would be given a great stock of sweets in jars (sold by the quarter) that takes you back to your childhood!
We came away with Rhubarb & Custard, Liquorice Pontefract Cakes, Chewy Nuts & a bar of Caramac.
A must visit if you’re in the are.
A little gem in the village of Tissington , always a pleasure to be had dropping in when passing through , stopped by at the weekend and although the full shop isn't open what is available is well worth a visit (Blackcurrant & Choc Mint Chip double ice cream) lovely !!
Looking forward to returning once again ...
Second time visiting, made sure we came again because of the variety of sweets on offer! The shop isn’t wheelchair friendly and small inside, which was expected and wasn’t a problem as the shop keeper was kind enough to bring out a selection of sweets / tell us what we might like. He did this a number of times and this was appreciated.
There is a huge range of sweets, chocolate and ice cream. As well as a few benches to sit outside.
If anything could be improved - a board outside with an idea of what was sold would be helpful.
Highly recommended. We will come again for sure.
This is a magical sweet shop but we came for the ice cream , which was delicious and we ate it in a beautiful location near the shop
