When I happen to be in New Liskeard, Rooster's is inevitably the place I end up eating. Quite a variety of food; something to satisfy everyone, and in a great location just outside of downtown, right on the lake. It is also attached to a hotel, with indoor access.

This time we came for lunch (although have eaten dinner there too, many times), and were there on a hot day in the summer, so we decided to sit on the patio. It wasn't that busy for a weekday lunch, so we had excellent attentive service.

Food was ordered from the specific lunch menu, and we were able to get the plentiful portions within a reasonable amount of time. The server was good at refilling our drinks without asking. The portions were good for the price point, and the view is outstanding. When it came time for the bill, checkout was fast and courteous.

Will come back when in town again soon.

What a great place to enjoy a drink in the sun or a leisurely meal with the sound of the waves nearby. The food is pub style and everything on the menu is very good there is no way of getting a bad meal. Service is also excellent.

It's very convenient when you're staying at Waterfront Inn as it's in the same building.
It's a local spot and busy in the evening.
The food is average: fried and fairly tasty. Avoid the calamari if you're not a fan of salt. Plus it's difficult to tell what is calamari and what is the breading--a big pile rather than individual rings.
Desserts are huge but don't look homemade. Very good though.
Quesadilla are great.
There is a lovely patio that looks over the lake--very picturesque. Nice place for a drink on a summer evening.

Enjoyed a lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Lunch in restaurant, dinner in bar area. Much prefer bar area. Lots of kids in restaurant. Food was good, bit pricey and basic but good selection and nothing wrong at all with it when combined with the great views.

Very clean, even the bathroom, very good service ,unfortunately it was raining and could not enjoy the wonderful patio.. All good beer battered fish haddock in a nice light crispy beer batter, with a choice of sides, Fry's of course.. very good and well presented with great service from a young man.
