We wanted a place to kick back, enjoy some quality family time, and simply get away from it all...Star Lake Resort delivered!
The fishing was great and our cabin was a cozy step back in time warmed by an old fashion wood stove. Music from the Owner's guitar drifted from their residence and added to the peaceful surroundings.
We plan to make Star Lake Resort an annual family tradition.

You like Star Lake for all the same reasons we do. Hope to see your family again and thanks for the compliment on the guitar playing.

Now that pictures of the snow-covered and frozen Star Lake are being posted, I reflect back warmly on our. September stay. It was a long drive fom Seattle, bu t well worth it and scenic as well.the lake is pristine and beautiful. The cabin we stayed in, while a bit small, was well equipped and comfortable, with flush toilet and hot shower s as well! We had a deck right on the lake shore wher we could watch the su n set. The boats avail able for exploring or hing were sturdy and had very reliable e small (3.5 horse power) outboard engines. We weren't real. Lucky fishing, but that wasn't the Mai n reason we came there. We came for peace and quiet and we caught our limit of that! - no phones, tvs, or wi-fi.... We also hiked to a nearby lake and a wonderful waterfalls , adding both more to do and great scenery. Overall it was a welcome break from an otherwise hectic life.

Room Tip: We chose one of the rooms in the "duplex" cabin, which is right on the lakeside - great deck with wonderful view of the lake

Joan and I love Star Lake for the same reasons you did. Should you join us again, I would be happy to improve your odds of catching/enjoying some of the rainbow trout of which we are proud. You have obviously found many of the other "touristic" treasures of our neighbourhood. Thanks for your kind review of Star Lake.

We had our wedding at Star Lake Resort on August long weekend 2014. We were able to rent the whole Resort for our selves and it was perfect.
The owners Joan & Jerry were very helpful and super friendly. Our main group of family went in all the Cabins the rest of the family and friends camped out around the resort. The ceremony was planned on the beach but due to weather we had to change it around. We rented tents and made ourselves a lovely shelter for the ceremony, dinner and party.
We had a band playing with help of a generator and had a good time until early in the morning.
What a lovely place. We all enjoyed the lake for a paddle, fishing and the peace atmosphere.
Good times on a great location with great people.

My wife and I loved this hidden jewel. The owners were very friendly and helpful, made us feel like close friends. We rented a boat three days in a row to fish this private lake. The rainbow trout were so easy to catch, almost made us feel guilty. The owner told us to catch as many as possible because the lake was full, he was not kidding. We will definitely visit this resort next time we are in Canada.

This our third year in a row staying here and in the same cabin as well. Once again a peaceful, quiet vacation which is well needed after the hustle of the city. Although the weather was extremely hot when we were there, we did manage to catch a few fish which were very tasty I might add. The owners are extremely helpful and always try to make everyone's stay pleasurable. Ryley, the owners very friendly dog, came by every morning to say "hello" to us. The cabins are rustic and without power, but you still have all the basic conveniences propane stove, fridge and hot water for showers etc. I didn't have a problem with my cell service so I guess it depends on your provider. The main washrooms are always clean and never busy. The office has a wide selection of books as well if you want to read. The best part is the peace and quiet... if you are into partying at the lake, do us a favor and don't come here. Wells Grey park isn't far to go and there is plenty to see there. If you are planning a trip to BC, this should for sure be one of the places you stay. The town of Clearwater is close, about 10km on a logging road, which has everything almost everything you need. Once again, thankyou Joan and Jerry for a wonderful vacation... see you next year!!!!

Room Tip: Cabin 2 is where we stay.. perfect for 2 but have had another couple stay with us.. there is a bedroom plus a very comfortable fouton.

Even the chipmunks and the steller jays were sad when this couple left. We would love to have them again.
