I booked a ride to the airport at the front desk.
The front desk indicated the price was $48. I booked because this is a reasonable rate to the airport. usually I book a shuttle service and that is about $60. I thought perhaps the Spencer on Byron had negotiated a special rate with the taxi company.
I’m not sure what the $48 quoted by staff was for? I went off in the taxi expecting to pay 48. When I got to the airport he tried to charge me $92! Why was I quoted 48? Is there some fine print I didn’t read? It was a disappointing end tleaving me feeling ripped off at the final post.
please make it clearer at the front desk what the airport trip will cost. This experience would be even worse if English was your second language.
Can Spencer on Byron please explain to me what happened?
The airport taxi was ordered 21/4/18 at 9.30 am.
In the end he charged me $72, a compromise between 48 and 92.
Was the fare meant to be $48? I clearly thought so. Please explain as I feel ripped off. if I was ripped off I have a receipt and perhaps the Spencer on Byron could make sure it doesn’t happen to other guests?
