I rode my motorcycle from Tombstone Arizona to Kimberley and was extremely tired when I got there. So when I found out rooms were available signed up for 2 nights. Was so surprised when I walked into my room to find it was a condo. A bit overkill for 1 person but absolutely stunning. I even washed clothes in the washer , dryer in the closet. Soap and Bounce were provided. Loved it completely. One problem I reported: I want to live there but I cannot afford it. :)

Room tip: Was in the little lodge to the south of the main lodge. Had to walk across plaza to hot tubs and restaurant but so close and so comfortable.

We stayed at the Polaris Lodge, the smaller sister to the main lodge building. Large, spacious and clean suites with all amenities, all above the guest servoces, ski rental and next to the main chair lift.

Staff were great and friendly, and it was a short walk back across the Plaza to use the hot tubs in the main lodge.

Stemwinder Bar was a great place to catch a beers or 3 and some quality food.

We've stayed at Polaris and Trickle Creek over the last 3 Christmas vacations and we are going back again this holiday season. We have nothing but positive feedback for the Polaris Lodge. Perfect location, just steps from the ski lift. Very clean, well equipped and properly maintained condo type suits.. Staff is wonderful and very accommodative. We've been so happy with every stay that we just keep coming back...

The Polaris Lodge offers very good value for your dollar. Our quality bedroom suite was very clean and had everything you would want, including the kitchen and sink. My only complaint is that off season you have to check in at the Trickle Creek Lodge next door which is a short hike across the Plaza. Another issue is that the road up to the lodge is under construction and when we were there a bit muddy and not the best for you on large road bikes.

Thank you 29jrh for the review of your stay with us at the Polaris Lodge. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. The construction on the road is done now and the road is all paved and it is a smooth ride up. We hope that you will choose to stay with us again the next time you are in the area.

We usually stay in that hotel around Christmas time for our extended friends gathering. Polaris is perfectly located just steps away from the lift. You may literally walk out the building in your ski boots and get in your skis.
Most of the rooms have the kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals. We used to do that regularly, however if you are not into that activity, you can eat "outside". The food is available at the lobby or in Montana - the other Trickle Creek building, just across the lift.
The rooms are well maintained and have all necessary amenities, including laundry, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, big screen TV, cable. The units (particularly bigger ones that we used to stay) could have more dishes and cutlery to accommodate a few more people. We can contribute to "saving the Earth" by not running dishwasher with just 4 sets of dishes.
The staff is extremely friendly, both at the front desk as well as maintenance staff. We had an issue with the garburator on the Christmas Eve. No problem - we got someone sent over to fix it. 10 minutes later all worked like new.
When we were booking for another trip planned, we we allowed to visit few other suites offered by Polaris and Trickle Creek. That's very nice and convenient.
If you are not into a downhill skiing, there are number of options for Nordic skiing, just minutes away.
We are definitely coming back. In fact we have already booked for this coming season.

Room tip: Depending on number of visitors, there are bigger units available.

Thank you very much Elkondore33 for the review and we are very happy to hear that you will stay with us again. We are the only properties on the hill that are true ski in and ski out so perfect for a ski vacation. I am very happy to hear that the suite was to your liking and you found it convenient to use for meals. We have made some changes to the restaurant at the Trickle Creek Lodge and are no longer a Montana's we are all very excited for the changes that are coming. I am very happy to hear that the staff were able to get things fixed for you in a timely fashion. They strive to make a guest stay the best they possibly can and were so happy to hear that they could make you stay that more enjoyable. We are looking forward to another wonderful ski season with all our early snow and hope that you will be joining us again.
