It is clear the owner has stuffed a lot of money and time into this Inn. You can tell they pay attention to details as the whole place is very organized and clean. I travel lots for work and was hesitant to stay here but I have to say I am impressed. Hats off to the owners and staff. Well done!

we stayed in Nelson this summer and were amazed by the view and by the great room. The only room on our vacation where all 5 family members had space, and didn't feel crowded. Front desk staff were super helpful : giving suggestions on things to do and see while we were in town. We would LOVE to come back and stay here !

We booked here because of other reviews and great price (King room for $94 at the time we booked). I was a little bit nervous because I am a hotel snob, but this inn pleasantly surprised me!

We loved the location as it was away from the craziness of downtown (just on other side of bridge- about 5 min drive), and we had a balcony with a lake view. Upon checking in, the staff were all very friendly and I immediately noticed how clean the place was. We couldn't get into our room until 3 (just tried to get in early), so we came back.

There is no elevator and hallways are narrow but don't let that scare you. Our king room (214) was very large, clean and had everything we needed- mirror and chair area to get ready, wall mounted flat screen, balcony, table and chairs, stool for luggage, closet, fridge, microwave. The bathroom is not large but it was clean and shower pressure was great (towels were small). The AC worked very well. Curtains were dark enough to keep out sun so we could sleep in! The bed was very comfortable and we loved the blankets.

My brother stayed in room 101 and had two smaller beds. The TV was smaller than ours and blankets weren't as nice.

We liked room 214 because it was at the end of the hall so you didn't hear people walking by, and it is the top floor so no walking above us. We heard no noise!

Overall this was a great place to stay (even for a hotel snob)! I would stay again.

We stayed one night in a room with two queen beds. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. The fridge inside the room was handy. The staff were helpful and very friendly. It took us minutes to walk across the bridge to the Lakeside park for a morning walk on the path system. The drive to downtown was 9 minutes long. We wanted a budget hotel and we were very satisfied!

We were a family of three so our room with two Queen beds was more than enough. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were able to make coffee in reception all day long but as our room was on the second floor it would have been easier if we'd had coffee/tea making facilities in our room. The hotel is situated (as the name suggests) on the north shore of the lake over the bridge so you really need to drive to get to downtown Nelson.

Room Tip: No lifts so if you have a mobility problem, ask for a room on a lower floor.
