According to my kids, glamping is better than camping. The KOA campground in Revelstoke was quite comfy. We rented a cabin for $100 and it was solid, bug-free, had power and even had air conditioning. Twin size bed and some bunks all had a green foam pad. There was a tad bit of stale odour (? old curtains) and we ensured the pads were clean with a disinfectant wipe down. Across the road was an outdoor pool, duck pond with giant ducks, an outdoor bring-your-own-chair walk-in movie area, a shop that served scooped ice cream and clean bug-free washrooms with nice toilets and free hot showers. There is a free wifi gazebo for those inclined to sit outside, log into emails and watch the movie all at the same time.

Room tip: Some spots far from bathroom amenities, but perhaps more peaceful. Also, train tracks nearby and trains run through the night.

Have stayed here a couple times. Have used the full hookup sites and rented a small cabin. Lots to do for kids, but there are lots of them! Pool, breakfast buffet, animal feeding, movies etc. Animals can be a bit food crazy.

We stayed for two nights and were impressed we could get a weekend reservation on short notice, for three sites. We stayed in the lower section and it would be great if there was a washroom on this level. At least toilets because it is quite an uphill hike to the next level. The sites were big enough for our 28ft trailer and the large shade trees were really nice. I was up early one morning and watched a big black bear walk through the field below the campground.
My criticism is the sites need to be leveled plus the surfaces are powdered dirt. The sites need crushed gravel to park on and more grass. If it rained the sites would be really muddy. I really hope management makes these improvements.
Mt Begbie brewery is at the top of the road, turn left instead of right to the hwy. good food and great beer. Definitely worth a tasting.

I don't know why this place is rated so low. It was a great place for families. They had movie night, and ice cream social, a nice swimming pool, a lot of room between sites, and pond with swans, among other things. My teenage kids appreciated the wi-fi as well. This campground was one of the best places we stayed during a 2-week RV campground. Stay here!
