Pizza was superb.

Upon walking into the place I did not know what to expect, not your normal takeaway, had the joys of a jamming session with the owner. Good entertainment, good service, great food at a good price. 1st time in Collingwood, and I will be back coming back again and demo be grabbing pizza from here.

Thank Stephen B

Tonight, sunday Aug 26th 2018 we picked up 3 large "mountain-sized" panzos from Donnie. We are tourists, from the Ottawa Valley area and decided to have a quiet night in and looked online for a good pizza joint. Good is an understatement. It was GREAT. We looked online for a well-reviewed local pizza joint. We tend to shy away from all things corporate and stick to maw and paw types of eateries for a variety of reasons.

Donnie's pizza joint had great reviews and looked like it fit the bill for our kind of place. We drove there and placed an order for 3 panzos. When you walk in, it's like your coming home. Although we obviously are not locals, he treated us as if we were his favorite all-time local customers. He greeted us with a big smile and cracked a few jokes. We made our order and then went for a short drive. When we returned his oven was full of pizzas and panzos and was still baking them. While we waited he picked up his steel guitar and stung a few tunes while we and a few customers listened. He then passed the guitar to a local musician friend of his who was also picking up a pizza. We had the pleasure of listening for a few moments as Donnie went to add the final touches and packaged up the panzos. He then took the time to ask us how we heard about him and what brought us to Collingwood and where we were from. This man truly exemplifies the good nature of the people who live in this area. He had a small write up about his families history in the area and how they came to be in the area, a display he proudly has on his counter for all to read. The sign of a person who is proud to serve his customers.

Now for the food! These things were GREAT! Huge! Huge and Huge! Did I say HUGE?! When he hands you the box, your first reaction is to think he must of put a brick in the box! These things are heavy! Great value! Tons of food for not tons of money! You will not be hungry after you mow down into his panzos! Perfected in every way, it was delicious in all ways know. Cooked just right, glazed nicely, choked full of all the toppings we requested, not greasy, not soggy, just perfect panzo goodness, and topped off complimentary house-made dipping sauces, this man aims to please, and please he does, he hits the target right in the bullseye. When I asked for a bacon, he gives you bacon! He jokingly said here's your heart stopper special, and proceeded to write a warning on the box, take with asprin! This guy is fun!

Skip the chain pizza joints, jump in the carn and get off the tourist beaten strip and take a moment to drive down to meet Donnie and order his food. You will be glad you did! Trust us!

Thanks Donnie and all the best in the future!

This pizza was recommended to us by friends. I ordered for p/u because there is no dine in. I found it expensive, but figured it was worth it for great pizza; it was just ok, nothing special & when I p/u the guy was rude. Also only takes cash, not convenient. Will not go back.
