From arrival to departure, it was fantastic all around. We went on a spur of the moment. end of summer quick getaway and were pleasantly surprised. Very laid back atmosphere and completely rustic location. Isolated in the woods. yet very close to the city and a fantastic view of the water from our 2 bedroom cabin. Went to the patio for dinner and it was excellent. Morgan, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive, and made our 9 year old daughter feel completely comfortable in a place with only adults around. We prefer a laid back atmosphere that is rustic in nature, but we do enjoy a fine meal. We got it all at Glenn Burney and loved it. If you like a primped up, shiny place, with a fancy pool and hot tub, go stay in a big city. If you want a laid back cabin in the woods where you can kick back and roast some marshmallows and listen to the loons on the lake below, this is the place. We will be back again, and likely again after that.

My wife and I were boating recently and happened to past the Glen Burney patio area. For a place that burned down lately providing a patio atmosphere with lunch and dinner, I was impressed. We were greeted at the dock with a warm welcome and given all the information regarding the lodge and patio .
We had a drink and then an appetizer. Seeing the menu ,they not only went out of their way to provide gluden free and lactose free food, which was not on the menu, but provided us with a great meal for 4 adults and 3 kids. A wonderful meal and accommodation on the patio. I do my review base on these factors.
Service excellent, courteous , informative.
Environment beautiful day to be on the patio, clean, welcoming, washroom still smell newly construction material (wood scent)
Meals , with no hesitation great , wonderful , my compliment to the chefs.
Improvement , gluten and lactose free menu .
Opportunity , excellent opportunity for the future.
Thank you for adding to our wonderful day and good luck
Enjoy
PS.... Gluden and lactose free meal are not provided on the menu. We ask if they would cook the meal that way and they were very kind to accommodate . My wife and I were very impressed. Thank you again

Glenn Burney Lodge and Patio Restaurant has exceeded my expectations once again. Glenn Burney Patio provides a fine dining experience with a laid back vibe. The menu offers a variety of food options at a very reasonable cost, which is sure to please everyone. The servers greet everyone with a smile and even offer assistance with docking the boat when arriving and leaving - it's essentially valet parking on Georgian Bay. With a family-friendly atmosphere, this patio experience is one of a kind! As for the lodging, the cabins are beautifully nestled on the hill overlooking the heart of Georgian Bay. Very clean, quiet, and affordable, this stay should be your only choice when staying in Parry Sound during the summer season. Not to mention the lodge staff has always been very accommodating and flexible with requests and inquiries. I highly recommend Glenn Burney Lodge to everyone; singles, couples, or as a family - you will enjoy your stay.

Stopped at the patio for a drink and quick bite to eat after hearing great things about their food and atmosphere. We were served a drink quickly enough and then order a simple snack (chicken wings and fries) Over an hour later.... no sign of food and no one came back to even to offer another drink. There were two other groups of people there at the time. Can't comment on the food as we never did get served!!!

If only he owners could clean it up and update the website, it wouldn't be so bad. I would have given a better rating if it were called Glenn Burney cabins in the woods. The website is completely outdated. The lodge burned down and we were under the impression (from the photos and services offered on website) that there must be a new rebuilt lodge. Sadly, we were greeted by piles of garbage and bottles and cans laying about before we found our way to the patio down at the bottom of a long descending boardwalk. There, we were greeted and shown back up the long boardwalk and uphill some more to our cabin. The cabin itself was clean and had basic supplies but I would not have paid $199 to stay there had I known it was way up in the woods with no access to the water below. There was a bad odour wafting our way which we later found out was coming from a leaking sewage pipe a few cabins over. Luckily we had food with us because we were planning on having breakfast at the lodge and the patio did not open until noon, one hour after checkout. Our plan to have a nice break, go swimming and relax was not to be. Too bad, all they need to do is clean up the property, update their website and be honest about what they offer.

Room tip: if you're looking for a cabin with wifi and a TV and want to drink at the patio, then you'll be ok here.
