What makes a place worth staying for almost a month? It's the caring and thoughtfulness of Wendy and Stefan at the Hillcrest B&B. Our stay, that was only to be a week tops, ended being over 3 weeks. Through it all, Stefan and Wendy did everything they could to make our stay warm, welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was always top notch, and the occasional dinner with wine/beer and yummy desserts was an added treat. Stefan a massage therapist and Wendy a former pastry chef was the shining light that made a stressful month in Waterloo truely easier.
Our daughter attending Waterloo U spent more time than we did at Hillcrest and our hosts ensured she was safe and well fed. Our room the Bean Retreat easily provided room enough for my husband, myself and our daughter including a study area.
I would highly recommend Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast, and hope to spend time with Stefan and Wendy again.

Had a wonderful evening with Stefan, while he prepared one course after another. Such energy and passion - Prost! Gazing at the supermoon while hot-tubbing afterwards was certainly a bonus. Of course, the breakfast was delicious and generous. Wendy's tea-cup collection in the grand dinning room was precious. Such gracious hosts and what a beautiful home.

Attended Stefan's cookery evening as a Valentine's Day treat. What can we say, seven courses of pure indulgance, gorgeous food with cookies and recipes to take home !! Unbelieveable hosts, who clearly love entertaining guests at Hillcrest House, where nothing is too much hassle, with everything done with a smile. Would recommend to all, an exceptional place to spend time and to be pampered rotten !! Can't wait for our return visit, but must make room first Stefan !!

A wonderful place to stay and experience. Foremost the service and comfort offered by the owners makes you feel immediately "at home" here. Stefan and Wendy are exceptional hosts who love what they do, which is immediately evident in the care for their guests. The rooms are simply beautiful and offer a luxurious getaway with private washrooms for each room and all the comforts of home. The home itself is a beautiful century old Victorian home which is emphasized throughout. Also worthwhile noting was the exceptional cooking by both Stefan and Wendy. Our stay included an evening of cooking lessons by Stefan that was both unique and practical and most of all delicious! Wendy's morning breakfast and baking treats were a delicious and filling start to the day. All in all this was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning to Hillcrest House.

This is out 4th time of staying at the Hillcrest House B&B with Wendy & Stefan and it gets better and better everytime. We travel from the UK and since finding this place will never go back to any other place in the area.
We stayed in the Bellinger Suite which is massive and fulfils all our needs. the other two rooms which are of a similar size are just as good. Breakfasts are great and really set you up for the day, and if you need any help Wendy and Stefan are always there to help with a smile on their faces.
Highly recommend staying here.
