This was our favorite accomodation in our trip around the Rocky Mountains. Suzanne is a perfect host, and the apartment is spotless and very well finished (I love sweet teddy bears everywhere). You can feel like at home, there are so many books, guides and information that probably you need to stay almost 1 month in Bear Necessities! Bed is comfortable, and bathroom has a very big shower! Excellent wifi. We enjoyed our self prepared breakfast every morning, and really felt very cuddled. We hope to come back again in the future!

This was our first time staying at a B&B and we loved it, the room was very clean and quite large. They don't operate as a traditional B&B anymore as there is no breakfast but that was perfectly fine with us, there is a small kitchenette if you want to prepare your own breakfast. We stayed here for 5 nights and used the location in Canmore as our base for traveling in Canmore, Banff, Lake Lousie and Radium, it was a much better alternative to changing hotels every couple days. Our hosts were very nice and I was quite surprised to come back each day to see our bed was made everyday. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip, I would highly recommend giving this place a try on your visit to Canmore.

While on a 6 week road trip, we were fortunate to have stayed at Bear Necessities for three nights. I won't rehash what the other reviewers have said in regards to the accomodation but let me say it was everything we expected and needed. Great location away from the touristy areas in a nice neighborhood. Our hosts gave us our privacy yet were available for questions. Very clean and our suite was tidied up every day with fresh towels as well. Very comfortable with private entry. Convenient for local touring. Thumbs up for Suzanne and Garth, our hosts! My brother will soon be making a trip here and I am strongly recommending he book with Bear Necessities. Don't miss the beautiful views of the mountains from the front ( exterior) side of the property!

Garth and Suzanne were wonderful. They looked after us so well. This was a perfect location for touring around the national parks. Clean, quirky and had everything we neeeded. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Would definately recomend.
