We are hear at the height of tourist season and used Canmore and the Blackstone Mountain Lodge as our base camp. Easy drive north to Banff and Lake Louise, but in a much more laid back, less crowded location. The Blackstone is in an ideal spot to jump on the highway, or walk into downtown Canmore to eat or shop. We rented a two-bedroom suite with very large rooms, kitchen, eating and sitting area. Nice pool, great knowledgeable assistance at the front desk for local attractions.

Room Tip: Our room faced the front, main road -- but it is not a busy thoroughfare.

Marilyn C., Tourism is at its height right now, and there is beauty around every corner with our hot summer days and amazing Blue Skies. Thank you so much for being our guests at the Blackstone Mountain Lodge, and for sharing such a great review with excellent tips for your fellow TripAdvisor Members. So many of our guests prefer the Vibe that Canmore offers and the short drive to Banff and Lake Louise. We hope to see you again. Thank you, Andrew S.

Most expensive Hotel I have stayed in over the last ten years. Entire Hotel in Very poor condition. Should be priced at a third of what they charge for any of the rooms. Hot tub and pool area dirty. Parking spaces too small so expect to get a door ding.

Room Tip: not sure, lower north looking at gravel, higher north #1 highway and A/C noise!!!

Winterpeg14., Thank you for your comments and I do apologise that you found the parking spots difficult to navigate. July is often one of the busiest times to travel through the Beautiful mountains, which makes it Peak Season. We have finished the refurbishment project that included brand new carpet in every room, and in all of the common areas as well. Brand new stainless appliances, Hide a Bed Couches, and much more. There are many accommodations in Canmore to choose from which offer a varying price point as well. Thank you, Andrew S.

Poor customer relations. Desk staff refused slightly early entry to rooms that were ready, even though my daughter was travelling with twin babies and a toddler, without a payment of extra $40 per hour. We were renting multiple rooms for 4 or 5 days for a wedding. Desk staff were generally unhelpful and rude. We did not experience this anywhere else on our Canada trip. Rooms a little tired. Cleaning staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: Request a room with mountain views, but not facing the main road as it’s a little noisy.

PKandKev., Thank you for your review, and I do apologise that we were unable to give you a complimentary Early check-in in July. As this is our Peak season, it is difficult to be able to offer this to everyone as we have many guests that take this opportunity to enhance their travel plans. I am happy that you found our Cleaning staff to be helpful, and do hope that you will visit Canmore again in the future. Thank you, Andrew S.

When we got the the reception desk was very accommodating to us and our needs, absolutely loved our suite and the view was also stunning from our 2 balconies that we got. Loved the hotel and I definitely recommend the suites, but definitely coming back!

Beautiful place to stay. Wonderful staff and accomidations. Was very relaxing, fun, adventurous, and majestic. My favorite part of our room was the patio looking out to the mountains. Perfect get away vacation.
