The people who own this charming place travel the world and bring back the array of wonderful treats it is possible to purchase in their shop AND they produce some of the best soups I have ever had (with the exception of my husband's as he is a chef!) Theirs scones, sticky toffee pudding, pies, sandwiches, etc., are all from scratch and wonderful. Do yourself a favour and grab some friends and head out to this spot. You won't be disappointed!

Can't say enough good about the tea store
Except disappointed with how popular it's become ....
Was a hidden jewel in the valley , but like a good ole fishing hole - word gets out.
Great for brunch or lunch the old fashion candy store brings older generations back to a time when penny candy was the rage.
The gated garden is great for sitting relaxing on a hot summers day with a ice cold lemonade.
Service is impeccable I am always greeted warmly by staff , the food is great as is the ambience of the store in general.
Treat yourself if you've never been
You won't be disappointed.

First visit: vegetarian sandwich. Second visit: Ploughman's sandwich. Third visit (today): quiche of the day with bacon, Cornish pastie and bowl of the red pepper and tomato soup. I'm a foodie and that soup was the best of its kind I've ever had. All fresh, all good. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Ignore the hater reviews. Buy some British stuff in their store. :)

Went for the candy... A treat at the end of the day. The kids loved it, literally kids in a candy store, they were overwhelmed. There are a lot of British treats available for sale as well, various preserves and condiments. Will be back again for a treat for the kids when in area.
