My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. Upon arrival the The girl at the desk was very accommodating. They gave us an early check in which was very much appreciated. But that's basically where it ends.

We booked a reservation at their hotel restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for a drink. The first drink I ordered they said they couldn't make so I ordered a different one they ended up bringing them both about 25 minutes after we sat down.

We ordered a salad and the mussels. The salad came out with next to no dressing on it so we asked for more dressing which never came. My husband, after finishing his drink then waited another 20 minutes before anyone even came back to the table for us to ask for another one.

We ordered our mains which we waited close to 40 minutes for. The food then came out lukewarm it was awful. When the waitress asked if everything was going OK I proceeded to let her know our concerns she then apologized and did everything within her power. However, the manager never came to apologize or to speak to us. He did however have time to stand in front of our table to watch the hockey game. When I called front desk after we got back to our room they told me They were very busy but that they would pass along the message. I did not feel like our concerns were addressed appropriately in any manner and I would never recommend this place to anyone coming to Osoyoos.

Room service: You have to order before 7:30pm - ridiculous. So disappointing. It was Friday night and I was getting married the day after. I obviously had a lot on my mind. I forgot to order my breakfast. They didn't offer the same "larger" continental as they did the night before. It should be offered. I also had to go PICK UP my breakfast. I had a tiny bowl of yoghurt and granola and it was $13. Too expensive. I then ordered 2 slices of bacon and 2 eggs and those alone cost me $10 and I could have ordered an entire meal for almost that price.

Dinner: The server took my food before I was finished. This happened once, I asked for my plate back and then I guess another person come and took it while I was standing and socializing. I was given an extra portion (which wasn't wanted) and I still had to pay for my meal. Restaurant was disappointing.

Keep in mind that the bedrooms are VERY bright. They do not have curtains that "black out" the beautiful sunlight that Osoyoos offers.

We stayed here before in 2014 and it was excellent so this time around we prepaid in full 3 months in advance to stay for 4 days with 2 adults and 2 small children. At check in, the reservation was not "on file" and we were told harshly that no rooms were available. It took >30 minutes for staff to sort out a "solution", which was to give us a much smaller/inferior suite with not enough beds, and refuse us a partial refund (since we did not get what we prepaid for) although they did offer a "complimentary" restaurant meal which was certainly overpriced. At check out, we were asked to pay >$600 as again, the prepayment was not "on file." To top it off they also tried to charge us for the complimentary meal! Sorting this out took almost 30 minutes (again). The staff seemed to express contempt at us for trying to identify their errors, even though we both speak in a gentle fashion. The service at reception was very poor, and communication seemed even worse. In conclusion I am still not sure if the supervisory staff are actually that incompetent or if they were actually trying hard to defraud us (it is possible!). Either way we will not be returning. Trying to sort it out TWICE was way too much work to do while on vacation - not worth the hassle.

Booked via Expedia check in was fast, helpful and friendly. On our first visit, we had a two bedroom suite facing the lake/pool, on this visit we had the "mountain view" which faces the main road, not a biggie but don't expect to sit out on the nice patio and expect quiet. Again not a big deal for us the room was quiet with the doors closed.

The place is very clean, parkade, lobby, elevators, hallways, rooms all very well maintained. Luggage carts were available and in good shape. As mentioned in another review avoid the upper parkade if you want to use a cart. That being said both times we checked in we were told to use the lower parkade.

Cleaning staff did a great job and ran the dishwasher for us too. I like to cook and the kitchen is well equipped and the dishwasher makes clean up easy.

Ideally located easy to get on the highway and close to restaurants, groceries, liquor and to burn off those calories a walkway along the beautiful lake.

The only negative comment was that on Saturday night after 10 there were a number of people drinking in and around the pool which was okay except for the fact that the drinks were in bottles which is dangerous especially if a bottle broke and went unreported. There is signage but it does need enforcing in my opionion.

We take pleasure in reading your review and that you have given us the top score. I was not pleased to see that we had adults drinking with glass bottles at the pool. This is prohibited. We are taking action by having a pool attendant until 11pm and we have Security to monitor these situations and enforce the pool and hot tub rules. We hope that you will be able to return to our beautiful Resort very soon.

We had a few technical difficulties with the villa we rented that made for a bit of a rocky start. But sometimes stuff goes wrong. Fortunately, the Watermark made it right which is why I'm penning this review. I'd like to call out Debra H who provided us with excellent customer service regarding these issues. Thank you Debra for making sure we left happy.

The highlights for us included the people and the restaurant. Taylor at check-in was efficient and friendly as was all the staff. Curtis - our server in the restaurant - was amazing. Just like the food. We had a lovely dinner, some of the best ribs ever! And Curtis was knowledgeable, funny, and took very good care of us.

Our villa had a small patio that opened up onto the lake where we could sit and watch people walk by. We met plenty of interesting people as a result.

Osoyoos is a lovely location and the Watermark is definitely one of the best resorts in the area. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable! Pam S.
