I cannot rate this town highly enough. It is just idyllic. There's a great selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, plus easy access into down town Vancouver via bus. Additionally it is an easy drive to places like grouse mountain, the capilano bridge and garibaldi park. There's a huge number of outdoor activities to do here including some great hikes, kayaking and cycling. We will most definitely be visiting again.

I always stop in the Cove when I'm in North Van. Great hiking fast to magical forest with a fabulous overlook. Nice water activities, fine food and fun times!! Connect with nature in great urban location.

Make sure you take the time to see this village and the stunning scenery that it has over the water. You can park in the area of the Deep Cove Park and walk all around the village to take in the sights.

Several interesting stores and the popular doughnut shop that the movie stars like to much, called Honey's Doughnuts. But the best part is down by the water where there is a lovely place to sit on a bench and just look at the boats and the mountains.

Or if you love water sports, rent a kayak!!!

This is merely 17 km from downtown Vancouver but it is in such a tranquil, pristine and picturesque setting that it is like night and day. We went during the week but I couldn't envisage looking for a parking space during the weekend amid the descending crowd. One can rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards for a few hours to appreciate the Indian Arm inlet's majestic scenery. If going on the weekend, I recommend dropping by real early and spend a day there including hiking, marine sports and lunch.

There are ample things to do in Deep Cove. For the outdoor adventurer there is the hike to Quarry Rock, about a 45 minutes walk from the trailhead in Deep Cove which has lovely vistas of Indian Arm at the end. Kayak rentals are available or if you have your own there is a great place to launch your own boat. There are many quaint restaurants with a variety of dining options. Parking is limited so consider biking there and and enjoying a "Honey's" donut for your efforts.
