“Not to be missed picturesque marina with aquatic sports”

This is merely 17 km from downtown Vancouver but it is in such a tranquil, pristine and picturesque setting that it is like night and day. We went during the week but I couldn't envisage looking for a parking space during the weekend amid the descending crowd. One can rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards for a few hours to appreciate the Indian Arm inlet's majestic scenery. If going on the weekend, I recommend dropping by real early and spend a day there including hiking, marine sports and lunch.

There are ample things to do in Deep Cove. For the outdoor adventurer there is the hike to Quarry Rock, about a 45 minutes walk from the trailhead in Deep Cove which has lovely vistas of Indian Arm at the end. Kayak rentals are available or if you have your own there is a great place to launch your own boat. There are many quaint restaurants with a variety of dining options. Parking is limited so consider biking there and and enjoying a "Honey's" donut for your efforts.

Arrive early if you plan on visiting on a weekend. Parking is very limited and you may need to walk in from the main street that enters the Deep Cove main street area. If you visit there are all kinds of activities including hiking, coffee shops, restaurants, live theatre, paddle boarding etc. Quarry Rock trail head starts in Deep Cove as well.

Deep Cove is an adorable little town on the water. It offers parks where you can enjoy the beach, the view or rent kayaks. There are several small restaurants, pubs, ice cream shops along the main street. This is a small quaint town for a relaxing getaway.

Deep Cove is a great day trip (or half day trip) from Vancouver with a peaceful and picturesque setting. I disagree, however, with the folks complaining about parking. I took the #211 bus from downtown Vancouver, and when we arrived in Deep Cove there was a parking space reserved, just for the bus! Get out of your car and enjoy life again.
