Deep Cove is a great day trip (or half day trip) from Vancouver with a peaceful and picturesque setting. I disagree, however, with the folks complaining about parking. I took the #211 bus from downtown Vancouver, and when we arrived in Deep Cove there was a parking space reserved, just for the bus! Get out of your car and enjoy life again.

My friend and I rented two sea kayaks and paddled for two hours on the long weekend - before the smoke came back! Prices are very good and the Cove is a beautiful place to paddle.

This little village has everything - a lovely restaurant overlooking the cove, good food, snacks, kayak rentals and even a community theatre.
Grab a gelato and take a stroll on the pathways along the waterfront. Or, for the more energetic, take a 40 minute hike up to 'The Rock', where you'll have an unobstructed view of the cove and Indian Arm.
Very busy on weekends when it's not raining. Parking can be a challenge as a result.
