Just visited this family-run restaurant for the first time, and now realize what everyone has been raving about. This inconspicuous, visually deceiving and tiny little cafe, is certainly a hidden gem on the North Shore. Even its location, and external facade hides the culinary brilliance inside its kitchen. And it sounds like that is exactly how the owners want it to be..growing their loyal customer base steadily by word of mouth, and by serving up delicious food on a du jour menu. The four of us had the duck confit, duck breast, braised beef and ling cod...and each of these entrees was quite brilliant, with intricate pairings of side vegetables and sauces. The desserts we ordered (apple tart, financier cake and creme brulee) were equally delightful. All in all, one of the best dinners I have had this year. Looking forward to going back again!

The restaurant, located in a light-industrial area in a nondescript suburb, seems to strive to shun elegant trappings (and location) in order to put the emphasis on the food. After eating there last night, I have to applaud the decision. The food is classic French with variations to allow for local ingredients. No one region is favoured, the Alsatian onion tart happily sharing the menu with a bouillabaisse-like "Catch of the Day" associated with Provence. My starter was a crab salad that featured crab cakes, salad greens and red cabbage. The presentation and execution were excellent, as they were for for my main dish, "The Catch of the Day", a wonderful combination of local sable fish, mussels and prawns. The staff are attentive. I heartily recommend this restaurant for itsexpertly and imaginatively prepared French food.

There is no much character or ambiance in the room but food is very tasteful and unique.

Server wasn’t very elaborate on dishes and couldn’t make recommendations , other than everything is good but we were very pleasantly surprised.

Food presentation is great and good sizes. All dishes were very flavourful and we will be back to try their dinner menu.

Other than the lack of ambiance and a espresso machine, it was a great discovery.

You wouldn't know from the look of the exterior but this little restaurant on Mountain Hwy is excellent. Word of mouth keeps this place top of mind. It offers great food and great service. If you are in the area and want to try something different stop by and prepare to be surprised at just how good the food is. It is one of my local favourite and always recommend to friends who plan on being in the area. This place is about the food and being with friends, not the decor.
