Just visited this family-run restaurant for the first time, and now realize what everyone has been raving about. This inconspicuous, visually deceiving and tiny little cafe, is certainly a hidden gem on the North Shore. Even its location, and external facade hides the culinary brilliance inside its kitchen. And it sounds like that is exactly how the owners want it to be..growing their loyal customer base steadily by word of mouth, and by serving up delicious food on a du jour menu. The four of us had the duck confit, duck breast, braised beef and ling cod...and each of these entrees was quite brilliant, with intricate pairings of side vegetables and sauces. The desserts we ordered (apple tart, financier cake and creme brulee) were equally delightful. All in all, one of the best dinners I have had this year. Looking forward to going back again!
