On holiday when we discovered this nice hotel. We went in and booked a table for two for a Friday evening. On arriving at our appointed time we were shown to a nice quiet corner table and given menus, whilst reading these we ordered drinks which arrived quickly. We ordered the soup of the day which came with fresh crusty bread, plates cleared we then had our main course of Munlochy Roe deer and trimmings. After working through this it was time for the sweet treat. All done, well fed another drink and move to the bar. The staff were excellent not hovering over you or hurrying you up. The food was excellent +, all meals and plates piping hot as should be. Would recommend pre booking a table if you intend eating here as it is very busy, i do not think you will regret visiting the Allangrange Arms.

Turned up after a long drive to be asked if we had booked a table. We had not. Looked around and place had lots of free tables. Told we would have to wait 2 hours for a table. Left.

Sat in the car park trying to Google places nearby to eat. Watched around 10 people all leave in the space of 20mins.

Rubbish service. We even suggested taking a table and eating quickly but they did not oblige.

Really disappointed.

We had a tour group of about 21, so we ordered from a menu shown to us the day before. This sped up the process. Everything was served hot and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered a Chicken Schnitzel sandwich. All sandwiches came with fries (crisps) and slaw. The only side I didn't care for was the slaw. I guess it was a pickled slaw. Might be a local favorite. Their local brew is called Happy Chappy, a pale ale. It is a golden brown beer with a brownish white head. Everyone that ordered it liked it.
They offered a Fish Finger and Shrimp sandwich that sounded really good too.
We got there about 1 p.m. and at that time of day, it was pretty quiet. Looked as if they have busy times at night. They had a board with the dart scores.
Prices ranged from £5.95 to £7.95.

Spent two nights here. The staff were excellent helpful polite friendly and really made us feel at home. We stayed in room 3 which was well appointed tastefully decorated spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We dined there both nights and the food was excellent. Really couldnt fault this establishment will be back again.
