Great B&B overlooking the harbor and near the ferry landing, and 100 yards from Granuaile (Grace O’Malley’s) castle. Nice, clean rooms, some with bathroom, some not. Excellent breakfast. Very nice sitting room with fireplace. Sarah is an excellent host. Clare island is a great place to explore. A must see is the 12th century abbey, about a 2 mile hike down the road. (Note, if locked, you can get the key at the nearby grocery store). Other nice hikes and bike rentals on the island. Good food at Sailor's restaurant.

Room Tip: room with a view of the castle

I've stayed at Granuaile House for a month and have found such comfort here. The family is amazing, the views are absolutely wonderful, and the food is fresh and delicious. I've become attached to their son's pug who jaunts by to visit each day (James) and their kitty Limpit. The lounge is a great place to read and relax. I always have the most restful sleep here on Clare Island in Granuaile House! And...Bernerd's Brown Bread is the best! I definitely want the recipe.

Room Tip: Room 3 has a direct sea view but all the rooms look lovely

I loved my first stay here on clare island. The bed was so comfortable and the view was amazing I could hear the waves from my bed it was better than any spa day walking 2 steps to the beach for a swim after a delicious breakfast. Stay here for the great location, friendly owners and comfy accommodation. We will definitely be back again and stay longer.

Great place to stay, and the location is brilliant, come off the boat and it's there facing you! Can't get better than that. B&B is quaint with a touch of quirkiness! Cora was a fantastic host and was super friendly and approachable! Rooms were nice and everything was spotless. If you're looking for something über modern, then go elsewhere, this place is for those who like a place with personality! We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again!
