“Close to Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2015

Looking for a place to stay near the holy cairns of Loughcrew with our Mythological Healinggroup we found your house.
We could not believe our eyes when we saw the beautiful pictures of the house furnishings. The elegance chosen with so much love and care. How can anyone leave sun a precious place to foreign people? There must be a lot of trust.
With gentleness and great hospitality we were received and than let alone.
We felt like landladies of a long gone time and at the same time totally at home. With the great dinner at the last night of our stay we were spoilt again.
The house, the gardens, the park allowed total wellbeing. We felt blessed and blessed the place.
Thank you for your generousness. Kristina Brode for our group of ten searchers from Germany

We had a great weekend in Loughcrew House. 17 of us stayed in the old manor style house which was great, could sleep 17(some had to double up), loads of hot water. Cooking facilities were good and the living/dining room was very spacious. We were served a delicious 3 course meal on the Saturday night which was well received after a great days activities in the adventure centre and followed that by a visit to the local niteclub in Virginia, Co Cavan.
The guides we had in the activity centre were top class and great fun. We all participated in the activities and it was well worth it. Be sure to wear old clothes and old runners! Although one of us forgot his and was wearing a pair of Ted Bakers, they survived and the leather is now softer than it ever was!
I have no hesitation in recommending this as a great option for a Stag Party if you are looking for something a little different! I have no regrets having booked this and it simply couldn't have gone any better.

Had a great weekend in Loughcrew House with a hen party last weekend. The house was ideal for a large party (17) and it and its' surroundings were beautiful. The food (3 courses) was top class and the hostess and chef were very friendly and looked after us so well. We also did three hours of activities in the adjacent Lough Crew Adventure Centre. It had loads of activity options and the two lads that looked after us were very professional and great craic. Highly recommend Lough Crew House & Adventure Centre for a weekend away and it's probably best enjoyed with a group as it has so much to do. It's c. 75 minutes from Dublin Airport and mainly motorway - bring a map / have google maps on when you come off motorway at Oldcastle as found it a little tricky to find from there.

This was an amazing location for a hen.
Beautiful surroundings and house. The hospitality and food was exceptional. Hostess and the cook were very nice and friendly but also let us do our own thing.
Would definitely come here again or a hen or weekend away.
