“Brilliant hen weekend had by all!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

17 of us have just come back from a hen weekend at Lough Crew and had the best weekend ever! The massive house we had all to ourselves for the whole weekend was just perfect. We did the half day adventure course on sat and never laughed as much, covered in muck from head to toe, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Dinner was cooked for us on sat eve and the meal was delicious! We could not recommend Lough Crew enough for anyone looking for something different for a hen weekend, or any even a birthday or family weekend away as there is something for everyone. We will def be back to Lough Crew in the future.

I would go back in the morning -we were staying at Loughcrew house and participating in the adventure course as part of a hen doo -OMG the house is fab, stunning beautiful -rooms immaculate and very stylishly done -the drawing room is something else!! We had a party of 17 staying overnight and additional folk doing adventure course - as part of hen package we got 3course dinner provided (to b reheated) it was yum and then went on to have few drinks in house and hitter the local nightspot -V club (free entry & cava reception -thanks Jimmy) transported to & from house with a v reliable taximan -christy. Saved the best till last -the adventure course was excellent we had 22 girls doing the course -zip lines and cargo nets, team games all made even more fun by the excellent 'lads' eoghan & Brody, fab team leaders and made the day so much fun. A wet & muddy end to our 1/2 day adventure course but loads of laughter and fabulous memories to cherish. An excellent location for any event especially a hen -excellent facilities, setting and staff!!! Tina (BM) on behalf of 'bridie' - Gemma & all the Muddy Mojitos in Meath Hen Gang xx

Room Tip: The downstairs shower beside main entrance -hot is cold and cold is hot!! Took us a while to figure...

Hi Tina
Thank you for the brilliant review. We are always delighted to hear that Christy from Christy Cabs and Jimmy from Club V looked after you very well too. It is very important to us that your entire stay here is excellent!
Thanks for putting up the room tip too, I must make sure to tell everyone in the future when they check in!
All the best to Gemma and the Muddy Mojitos too!
George

We all had great fun at Loughcrew AdventureCourse and found the old house very comfortable. We knew it was private accommodation so we brought our own fire-logs and the owner let us light a roaring fire in the huge fireplace in the drawing room. It was very atmospheric, sort of a mix of classical French country and Regency-style furnishing with lots of intricate gilding which we found quirky and charming. The children loved their four poster beds and little nooks and crannies around the house. Our bathroom was next door to our bedroom, which we had no problem with. It had lovely soaps and elegant fittings.
We brought our own cereals etc for a quick breakfast in the self-catering kitchen the next morning before heading out for a walk through the stunning parkland and gardens, then up to the famous Loughcrew Cairns. We had a very decent lunch afterwards in the cafe by the entrance to the gardens and we're looking forward to going back in the spring.
