My significant other and I stayed at this place in May of 2016, as a last resort. It was Memorial Day weekend, and we hadn't booked anything in advance before leaving our Southern California home. Yeah, that was a mistake because there was absolutely NO VACANCY anywhere alone the 8+ hour long drive to Tahoe. Nothing. We were desperate to find something, anything, having never been to Tahoe before, and not fully realizing how popular that destination would be for the first major long weekend of the year. Again, our mistake, completely.
Anyway, this place DID have availability, which should have been our first indication that something was a bit off with it. No matter, we needed a place, so we stayed here. Granted, we stayed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night of Memorial Day weekend. For those three nights, we were charged upwards of $200/night. As we were leaving on Monday, I overheard someone talking to the front desk while walking our dog. Weekly rate after the weekend was going to be $60/night. Wow..
No continental breakfast. Pastries and coffee and tea. Pastries were sparse and ran out quickly. Walls were thin. Internet WIFI was terrible on the second floor, almost non-existent. Neither of us could log onto the internet using our computers. Towels looked dirty with make-up stains. My significant other used our towels instead of the hotel's towels..
I would never stay here again because I learned my lesson. Always book something in advance before traveling during Memorial Day weekend.... Duh.
