Moulin de l'Aumonier
Reviewed 18 June 2017

Small B&B, large rooms. Very clean, beautiful view of gardens and the Loches Cathedral in the distance. Woke to the sound of ducks quacking peacefully, birds chirping and the stream gurgling. Very peaceful. Reminded me of what B&Bs were when they started years ago. And the price is great. A few excellent restaurants in Loches. Will go back if in the area again.

Room Tip: Ignore the stone yard near the entrance. Won't notice it after you arrive.

Our first visit to Loches and we were very pleasantly surprised. The Moulin is a lovely place to stay with acres of space both inside the house and outside in the amazing gardens. We walked in to Loches for an evening meal and are tempted to pay another visit one day soon. Traditional continental breakfast a plenty with some extra touches - pork rillette a case in point. The proud and helpful hosts were very accommodating.

Room Tip: Choose the en suite, very spacious room

Owned by a lovely couple who refurbished and moved in 5 years ago, they have one room with en-suite of a high standard and plenty of room, the room has a terrance which over looks the river, beyond the river is an amazing garden which one is free to walk around. It is a 10 minute to Loches town centre where there are several restaurants.
The continental breakfast had plenty of choice.
The couple are refurbishing the watermill which is in their grounds.

Room Tip: There is only one room, very peaceful with a great countryside view

I slept in the roulotte in the garden. Confortable, romantic and quiet. The garden is very nice with the river and the old windmill. The breakfast was perfect with local products and lot of homemade jam from the garden.
There is a room to rent is the house as well.
No wifi in the roulotte.

We loved the place, the park, the delicious home made breakfast and the discussions with James. For diner, the owners advised us to go to Loches, the nearby medieval city, and it is very interesting to see. It made us feel like coming back for a week! :0)
