We stopped off here on a chilly August day after visiting buxton. Not only were the landlord and the waitress who served us really lovely, the beef and stilton pie was amazing! Quite possibly the best pie my boyfriend has ever had. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the peaks.

I visited this pub last month on a trip to Derbyshire. It is very close to lots of great walks and cycle paths, the views are amazing!
The pub has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food is traditional pub grub with a few fancy dishes, Im a fussy eater and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The pub has a lovely atmosphere and we ate in the top part of the bar rather than the restaurant as there was a real fire to sit by.
Great experience - definately worth a visit!
