We love a run out for lunch on a Saturday and this was in my list of places to go.
Great pub, felt really safe with covid restrictions in place.
Lovely greeting from both the waitress and the lady who ran the restaurant. Could not fault any of these.
The food we found to be of good quality but quite expensive compared to other places. The chips I must say were great.
My husband had the pie, it was £14.95 so expected something fab. It was a good tray pie with plenty of meat but rather expensive for the size if you look at the photograph. The selection of veg was good. I had the gammon at £12.95 I also ordered side of onion rings at £3 so the meal cost me £15.95.Plenty to eat but the gammon was dry.

Charming welcoming pub with a roaring wood stove. Lovely on a very rainy windy night. Good food with large portions and a good ale and gin selection. Nice chat with the owner Bridget. Felt very safe dining here. Good COVID precautions in place . Would call again if passing

We have the most loving and well behaved friendliest family Dog and we was Just told we are not allowed to book because they do not accept Staffies.

The rule should be towards the dog owner (defined by the owner being a fully responsible, safe and considerate dog owner) and not the dog!

Thanks for your comment - however the request to bring your Dog related to a stay on our Campsite and not a table in the Pub. Some breeds of dogs are not accepted on many campsites and unfortunately Staffordshire Bull Terrier is one of them. Further guidance is on PitchUp - the booking system we use for our campsite reservations.
