Four of us had a superb meal at Barzaari last night. The name is a Persian one; the restaurant website describes it as "eastern mediterranean" and the dishes are like the best ones you've ever eaten at Lebanese, Turkish and Middle Eastern restaurants. The kitchen revolves around the wood-fired oven and the char-grill; the pita bread is cooked to order and comes out of the oven, warm, with excellent dips. The meat is superb but there are plenty of vegetarian options as well. Great wine list and lovely atmosphere.
