We stopped here on a sweltering hot day on our way from the Jordan valley to the Jezreel valley. One step into the cool interior of this historic building built of black basalt rocks and we were charmed. They serve light vegetarian (dairy) fare - a variety of high quality pasta dishes and salads. They also sell some home made delicacies such as cakes, cookies and jams. Service was friendly, prices were mid range. Bathrooms were clean. I enjoyed beet gnocchi filled with cheese in a cream and chestnut sauce, and a lovely salad with brie, lettuce and apples, in a pear vinaigrette sauce.My husband had a piping hot shakshuka served in it's individual baking dish.
