Better than we could have expected ! The inn is super clean, felt like home, absolutely amazing views. Hiking trails here and today we watched a bald eagle flying around and a black fox. The breakfasts are perfectly delicious and different every day. Rita recommended some great sites and activities since we are here a bit off season. Would love to return !

The Bread and Cheese inn is a lovely B&B with clean, comfortable rooms in a beautiful setting. Their breakfast is a perfect start to the day. The Inn is close to the East Coast Trail for hikers and we enjoyed a nice hike from the Inn to the lighthouse. Many coastal boat tours are available in nearby Bay Bulls and St John's is only 30 minutes away. Relax and enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the bay. The in-house Keele restaurant is lovely for evening dinner.

Room tip: Ask for a corner room for a great view of the bay.

This was the nicest accommodation that we had in Newfoundland. We were intrigued by the name and were told that the fishermen would come ashore for lunch as this area had few biting insects and they would often have cheese sandwiches!

The B & B is very clean and appears to be new in spite of it being about 20 years old. The breakfast was wonderful. There was a large comfortable sitting area. The staff went home in the evening and we had the run of the house.

The lawn around the property is huge and well maintained so quite inductive for a leisurely walk.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in Bay Bulls during a 9 day trip around the Avalon peninsula.
Booked a room at the Bread and Cheese based on the very positive reviews here at Tripadvisor and were absolutely not disappointed.
Very warm welcome and super friendly staff that made you feel at home - the owner, Rita was very helpful and also gave some good recommendations for hiking (access to the Spout Path - a very nice part of the East Coast Trail - is only a couple minute walk away from the Inn).
We had a "Deluxe" room which came with a very nice view and also had a bathroom with a very nice tub - highly welcome after one day with a long hike in the sun - overall very nice and clean room.
Breakfast was very good on both days and on the first evening we also had our dinner at the Inn (dinner is offered on some days during the week). Dinner was very good and is definitely a good option, especially if you do not want to drive around to find a good place. Thumbs up to the the lady who "dualed" in being to cook of a yummy dinner and a friendly waitress at the same time.
Overall great stay and we would definitely like to come here again when we hopefully have another chance to visit Newfoundland.

Very friendly owner, Rita. Excellent views. Great breakfast. Close to St. John's. Clean and comfortable room. The chef operating the evening restaurant (The Keel) provided a spectacular small plate meal!
