This is a quiet place by the pier. We were the only ones there at around 10 in the morning. There are many sea lions and we got to see a baby swimming with her mom. While I was snorkeling three of them swam right next to me and were fun to watch under the water.

Beautiful views, really close to the Hotel/bar/restaurant area. You can do snorkeling or just sit in the deck and watch fishes, tortoises and sealions swim arround you. Free and fun.

For one of those days when you don't feel like being involved in an organized tour or, more importantly, taking a bumpy boat to reach somewhere, Concha de Plata is an excellent alternative.

The place is beautiful, for free and right by the port (1USD ride from town).

We didn't bring snorkeling equipment but other people who did claimed to observe manta rays and even sea lions closer to the part where the water merges with the open sea by the port.

Be careful with the currents - we were taken away way too easily!

We stayed at Chez Manany, which is a 5 minute walk to Concha de Perla. Because of our proximity to the place and the sea lions we went there daily. It was our favorite spot on Isabela with lots of friendly sea lions, some turtles and clear water.

The young sealions loved to play with you. Watch out for your snorkel masks as they would happily tug them to the water. Nice snorkeling site if it has not rained the day before.
