My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Iguana Crossing Hotel, following a 7-day boat trip. We wanted to wind the trip down with some unstructured time. The hotel is located on a pristine beach, and we took a long sunset walk each night, watching the pelicans feed. It was one of the most beautiful beaches we saw in all of the Galapagos.

On the beach, right across from the hotel was a lava outcropping which attracts an army of Iguanas. Each morning, they migrate from the lagoon behind the hotel, across a wooden catwalk, across the sand road in front of the hotel (waiting patiently for cars to pass before they make their way across the "iguana crossing"), and to the ocean, where they feed and bask on the warm rocks. If you're a nature lover (or at least an iguana lover), this is an incredible experience. You see them up close, piled on each other, see them swimming, and then see them march back to the lagoon in the afternoon.

Breakfast in the morning was good, with an omelette chef at your disposal. We dined three nights in the hotel, and the food was excellent. Not many dine there, so you pick your time and meal (off the menu) ahead of time, and you meet it at the table. Each night, we had a special table set up next to the bar, and it felt very special. In most cases, we were the only ones dining, and we were treated like royalty. They even played music we liked!

The staff were one of the highlights of our entire trip. So warm, friendly, and accommodating. They really go out of their way to take care of you, and that makes such a difference. We have very fond memories of Pedro, Martin, Sofia, Darwin, Daniela, and Cecilia. They really made our stay there very special.

The hotel is quite new and lives up to its "boutique" label. Our room with an ocean view was spectacular, as was the pool. The location of the hotel is ideal, due to its proximity to the long, gorgeous beach and the lava rocks which attract the iguanas.

The bohemian town was a lot of fun. The Sunset beach bar, a stone's throw away, has a great happy hour, and we met some interesting people there. The tortoise breeding center is a short hike from the hotel and is well worth the walk. The town is quaint (especially the church), and we found some other good places to eat. The beach where the boats come in has some great nearby snorkeling (iguanas, penguins) at Concha de Perla, and the sea lions are everywhere (even lying on the public benches!).

A very special hotel with spacious, clean rooms, welcoming relaxing common areas and lovely pool. Beautiful views from rooms- ocean or wetlands where flamingos reside. Rooftop has gorgeous 360 view- great for star gazing. Easy access to beach, town, and biking trails. Delicious meals and kind, professional staff. Martin especially helpful to us for his service, manner, and great recommendations.

The most beautiful beach hotel I've seen!!! Definitely the best in Isabela Island.
We went for a weekend trip, traveled in a big family group with kids and had an amazing time!!
The hotel is located right in front of a beautiful beach, there are so many activities to do in the area and if you want to stay in, there is a delightful pool and deck.
We ate the whole weekend in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed very much each meal, there is a varied menu with different plates ranging from fish, meat, pasta, risotto, etc!!
You have to try the Galapacho, it was delicious, I recommend the food, everything we ate was great, fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back in a heartbeat, great service, lovely rooms (with great A/C), great everything!!!

Room Tip: The view is amazing!!!

We recently spend 3 nights at Iguana Crossing as part of a longer trip to The Galapagos and Latin America. We loved everything about it - the hotel, the staff, the island and of course being so close to nature.
Iguana Crossing is in a tremendous location, right on a marvellous beach with a pool that you can lounge in while watching life (and iguanas!) go by.
Facilities are not super luxurious, but easily more than adequate and the lunge has great views as you sip your evening cocktail. We hope to be back before long.

We loved this hotel. Our room had a view of the very nice pool and sea, was large and very clean and had a great bathroom. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Eggs to order in the morning worked well for our family. I think it is one of the most beautiful views from a hotel both on ground level and from top outside lounge area we have had. (think turquoise sea, lava rock, mountains to side. Staff was friendly and helpful.
