Our visit was just before the peak season begins next month. The one member of staff wasn't really coping - although only 2 rooms were occupied. His English is worse than my Spanish. Which is OK if you speak a bit of Spanish but could be a real problem for those that don't. All the return ferries go at 7am but no attempt to provide a reasonable breakfast. I guess there would be better accommodation choices, if they are available. Our stay was organised a short (1 day notice)

Room tip: 2 rooms have beach front views

Our travel agent recommended this hotel in Feb.2017 for our July stay, 4 rooms, 3 nights. After $1000 deposit, hotel again wanted us to include meal plans and all the islands tours with $1490 more/person. Otherwise 480$/room/night from originally $350. We decided to book this hotel on our own at that point on internet. No attached conditions but had to prepay and can't use that $1000 deposit credit. We had to choose this hotel hoping we could get $1000 back still.
Well, NO! NO! NO! No deposit back still after our stay!!! The current manager Andrea admitted that we had all the proves of the deposit and are entitled for the refund.
Not only the restaurant is closed that we even had to go to another hotel for included breakfast, also all the tours that we booked on our own (about 150-180$/person/island) included lunch that hotel knew about before they suggested meal plan. Nice dinners on the island cost you basically nothing.
Last but not the least, we booked all the rooms at ocean view rate, only two rooms had ocean views.
All the travelers and travel agents, please think twice before you book this hotel.

While the rooms were very basic - just like you would expect on the Galapagos Islands, it was enough to stay on the hotels very own terrace to get the full-on wildlife experience!
I was able to lie down next to the sea lions and basically share a subbed with them!
Incredible experience! The staff was very friendly too!

You better come right when they open the food area or you will not have any food left. Skimpy , not a lot of good choices especially if you are vegetarian/pesce. Although location is good, you will not be satisfied with the food. And customer service? 2/10. I would not recommend.

We stayed at the Isabela Lodge this month. Take the negative reviews of the Redmangrove with a grain of salt as I was told that the hotel was sold and is now called the Isabela Lodge. The rooms are simple , clean and the air conditioner freezes you!
The rooms are right on the beach so that is a major plus.
WIFI is tough anywhere on the island, but I did manage to get connected from our room.
The service was more than adequate in maintaining lodges on the beach.
The breakfast served was outstanding.
