“Lovely apartment, good location”
Reviewed 7 March 2016 for a stay in September 2015

I stayed here with my girlfriend during the Venice Biennale in September. Located away from the main tourist traps (if such a thing exists in Venice), yet a few minutes walking and you're in the middle of the madness. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily recommend it.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed 10 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This is a lovely little studio apartment overlooking a garden that can be used.
The kitchen is tiny but the main room is pretty big containing a bed, TV, wardrobes and an armchair.
Bathroom consists of toilet bidet wash basin and shower, and its all very clean and tidy.
Location wise it is near the Ospedale water us stop....handy for Alilaguna bus to and from airport so it is ideal. Once you get used to the backways and alleys of Venice it is only 10 minutes walk from Saint Marks Square.
There is a handy supermarket nearby and a very good pizzeria with outside fine covered courtyard and good pizzas....called La Strega.
Francesco or his sister Maria Chiara will meet you and guide you to the apartment, answer all your questions and give you the local insights.
They are both very efficient and friendly people.
As an improvement to the property ma I suggest a more comfortable armchair, and perhaps another armchair so couple dont have to draw lots over who gets to sit in it?
Would definitely return.

“Quaint little studio apartment in a beautiful and quiet district in Venice”
Reviewed 4 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This is a quaint little studio apartment located in the Castello district of Venice. Our hosts provided us with excellent directions, a simple boat ride from the train station to Osperale, where we were met by out host and then taken on a 3 minutes walk to the property. From here we were able to walk easily on foot all over the island and take in the beautiful sights, sounds and tastes of venice. The only downside to this lovely apartment is that one neighbour seems to move furniture every morning around 7am and this can be quite disturbing. Our hosts have a great knowledge of the local area and recommended places to eat, and offered advice on places to avoid eating, such as in St Marco Square as the restaurant properties there aren't actually big enough to house kitchens, so they just heat food up with a microwave and charge the earth for it. All in all this was a wonderful spot to use as a base for our honeymoon, our own little piece of venice to enjoy.

Liked best: The quiet location, the lovely accommodation, and helpful hosts
Liked least: The early morning wakes due to the neighbours dragging furniture around next door

Management Response
4 Oct 2014
Thanks for leaving your review, we're happy you liked this apartment. Unfortunately this summer we had a lot of rain in Venice and, although we tried different means of killing mosquitoes in the garden, there was no way to get rid of them. Hopefully next summer they will be less.
