We stayed for 4 nights on a half board basis in a river view suite. Good things Our room was large and well appointed. Large bed with 2 bathrooms although weirdly only one with a toilet. Coffee and bottles of water provided. Restaurant provided innovative meals and a great breakfast buffet. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Gave us loads of advice and help on transport and places to visit. Really easy to get to Porto and the vineyards from the local train station. Absolutely stunning views and scenery surrounding the hotel. Pool on the roof was beautiful. Well maintained indoor general areas Things to improve The half board menu didn't change for all the 4 nights we stayed. By the time you have eaten your favourite choices, and then your second favourite you don't really want to try your 3rd or least favourite. We only ate dinner twice for this reason. A half board menu needs to be changed daily for repeat guests. Throughout our stay there was no breakfast tea. They had run out. There were lots of other teas, green etc. But they just don't do the job at breakfast. We never had an apology for this and no one could be bothered to just pop to the local shop and buy some.
