This newly built selection of rooms was just the ticket for my long term stay. Very clean and tidy, comfortable and well equipped. The owners are efficient but friendly and helpful. The setting is wonderful and within a very easy stagger to the equally superb Tollemache arms.

I would definitely recommend for short, medium or long term stays. And much much cheaper than hotels or BnB that would not be as spacious or possibly as clean!

We stayed here for a night to visit Warner Edwards Gin, further along in the village. The rooms are all barn conversions, and are fine for size and facilities. Good size bathroom and comfy beds. Our room was clean (apart from the bedside and wall lights -very dusty!) and well maintained. Breakfast, which was served buffet style, was plentiful and nicely cooked.
The place was quiet and peaceful. It would be nice if there was a bit more made of the outside area, some tubs of flowers would just make it a little more inviting.

Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

There's plenty to applaud at this B&B, particularly the spotless presentation of the premises and the rooms. Our room was a suite, comprising a sitting room with a sofa and TV, a bedroom with 4-poster bed, and a bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and the plumbing was modern with good shower pressure. The family that run the establishment were friendly, and clearly take pride in ensuring everything is shipshape.

The reason for the score is is twofold: first, we paid £100 for our room, which we felt was quite a lot given the nature of the product, which is the second point. It's a good quality product, but rather low on charm and nothing to shout about. The ambience of the grounds/parking area is utilitarian concrete, with no flowers or attractive planting or even nice trees really. The buildings are interesting, but again not a lot of creative thought has gone into the conversion – character feels like it's missing. And our room was underwhelming, with a rather uncomfortable sofa, barely anything on the walls and no "surprise and delight" features such as fresh milk for tea/coffee or homemade biscuits. The word Spartan comes to mind.

You may feel that I'm being unfair, but for the price we paid we've stayed in some beautifully presented B&Bs/small hotels, bursting with character and thoughtful touches. The low point for us was the breakfast, with a school-like dining area and servery, containing a rather meagre selection of cooked items and a limited choice of cereals and breads.

In other words, it's fine, but for the price nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: Probably not worth paying for a suite.

Spotlessly clean accommodation. Good bathroom with very good, powerful shower. No shampoo or conditioner though, only shower gel. Plenty of tea/coffee in room and very comfortable bed.
We were in one of the converted barns and breakfast is in the main building, just across the courtyard.
Breakfast was very nice, a hot buffet as well as fruit juices, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and fresh coffee and tea.
The Tollemache arms across the road is very good for food in the evening and offers a good selection of the local gins distilled in the village.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would stay again if in the area.

This was a great base for our visit to a few of our family who stay in nearby towns. Superb accommodation and breakfast, and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Lovely village/ country pub within easy walking distance with good pub meals.
