Lord Whisky Tea Rooms

Visited the Lord Whisky Tea Rooms a couple of times on a recent visit. Very warm and welcoming inside, the staff very helpful and friendly. Lots of nick-nacks on sale, all proceeds going towards a worthy cause. On our first visit we had the homemade cheese scones and tea. Delightful. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Plenty of time to browse and buy any of the items on sale whilst there. Our second visit was their specialty Friday night fish supper. We had the beer battered cod, chips and peas. The fish was very fresh and the beer batter tasted amazing. Generous portions too! There is a very homely atmosphere in these tea rooms and the staff work hard to make sure your meal is perfect. I would definitely recommend stopping off for tea and cake or the fish supper on a Friday night if you're in the vicinity.

This is an animal friendly tea room in Kent that caters for all, from singles to large groups for just teas to three course meals. The food is well prepared and very good value for money and the staff are eager to please, friendly and chatty.

I have visited these Tea Rooms on several occasions each time meaning to write a review. The welcome is always the same, friendly smiles from other diners all happily eating the delicious food served here. A coffee or Tea or a full home cooked meal with lots of 'Snacks' in between. Small portions on request. No rush to move you out at the end of your meal this giving one the opportunity to browse the many Fund raising items that have been donated for this very worthy cause. Looking forward to the next visit, very soon I hope. Enjoy this charming Tea Room. Welcomes Walkers, more Senior and Junior members of the community, Cyclists. Off road parking.

Second visit to this tea room. Variety of food and desserts to choose from. Plenty of donated goodies to browse through and possibly buy whilst waiting for food and beverage to arrive. Very pleasant experience and I hope to return again sometime in the future.

Haven't been to the tea rooms for about 8 months. The tea was lovely, the cake was O.K but nothing special. What I was most surprised at was how they have pushed so settings/ sittings into the room itself. There used to be enough room to negotiate around the tables but now you have to get up to allow people to pass. The food is still homemade but I like a bit of space to eat. Oh well, at least it goes to a good cause so can't blame them for putting in more tables for profit.
