We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back here at Kearsney very soon.
If we reveal our secret, you might not come back to the comfortable sleep. We will surely keep up the good work, thank you.

Stephanie and Andrew were amazing and very patient with us and our many needs. The breakfast was scrumptious and the place was generally clean....the only flaw was the shower in Room No.18 which was ponding (due to clogged drain) and the gym equipment in the ironing room was very dusty. Other than that we had a great stay and we will definitely be back.

We are very glad that you all enjoyed your stay and we do apologise for the dusty gym equipment. It had just been moved from the building area and the gym room is still under going a revamp.
thank you for bringing our attention to the shower drain and we have since attended to it.
Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

The place is rated 5 stars for SA Tourism, however despite the very nice and historical building a little bit more investment should be done to improve the B&B. The two persons running the place do everything they can, however the property should dedicate some more effort to improve the comfort.

First there was no electricity and cats are wondering around, not all of us like cats. roomz were cold no heat. No room TV, we had dinner with no dessert and when we asked about the dessert we were told we should have specified that we needed dessert. I will never go back there again it was horrible.

We do experience frequent power outages in our area , however we have three generators on site which takes ten minutes to start up and supply lights and water to all the rooms. Our feral cat issue is being dealt with by ourselves and " cats of Durban". We are implementing televisions in our rooms but this will take time. Our dinner is a one - course meal and is charged accordingly. Dessert is gladly made for all our guests that make prior arrangements. We do offer extra blankets for those guests that feel that they might need them.

While i can see Kearsney manor was once a lovely old manor house, and great effort has been put into it being accomodation ... it would benefit from being cosier, more welcoming less cavernous.
One big issue is that cats roam the venue and jump on dining tables, walk over plates etc. I am a cat lover, I have cats of my own but i dot think in a multi-cultural environment its appropriate to have cats in the kitchen and dining room. The cats also fought all night. The rooms were lovely but very cold and there was no heating which is a dealbreaker for me. the beds, furniture, staff etc were lovely but there are things that need to be worked on.

Thank you for the feedback on your stay with us. We are aware that there are feral cats living in the surrounding plantations that do roam our premises from time to time. We have addressed this issue with " Cats of Durban " who are helping us in this regard. We have one of these feral cats that does enter the guest house on occasion but we try our utmost to keep it out of the kitchen and dining areas.
