“Good Location on Tattershall”
Reviewed 6 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed here over the Easter holidays. There were six of us, four adults and two children. We found the lodge to be clean enough when we arrived. There was an air fresher which was very strong and the smell was awful, once moved though it was much better. We also found left over food in the plug hole in the kitchen and underneath the washing up bowl was dirty, not a major issue, just a little off putting when you first arrive.

The location is okay, not too far from the club house where all the activities are based. Everybody loved the hot tub which was the reason we booked this place over others, would recommend this place for the hot tub alone as it stayed hot during the whole of our stay and Anne the owner came every day to ensure it was safe.

A couple of issues (not major). There are not enough dishes in the property, if you provide a dishwasher, you should really have two sets of crockery and cutlery so that you don't have to either wash by hand or put the dish washer on when it isn't full to get the stuff clean in time for your next meal. Also, the shower needs improvement, it is just not powerful enough and means that everybody has to spend longer in there, wasting valuable hot tub time!!

Overall though a good experience and would recommend.

Management Response
7 Apr 2016
Hi thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear some things weren't quite as they should be. I will have a word with my cleaner about the issues with the sink. Also I will take a look at the shower but the water pressure is quite low at that lodge. I will see about putting more crockery in there although the lodge sleeps 6 and there are 8 of all plates and dishes.

“Homely, comfortable and relaxing lodge”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Myself and my partner, two children (10 and 13) and dog have just returned from an 8 night stay at Shelduck Lodge. Upon arrival we found the lodge easily with Ann's directions and were very happy with the lodge and it's location, which is on the secluded Duck Lake. The lodge has 2 good sized bedrooms, family bathroom and another toilet as you come in the entrance. Kitchen is spacious with everything you need - including dishwasher and full sized fridge freezer. The lounge is a good size and plenty big enough even with a six seater dining table and chairs. Full sky tv package, only downside was no wifi - which would have been a welcomed extra. The outside area is large and spacious with sunken hot tub that was lovely and warm on arrival and Ann popped round throughout our stay to maintain it. There is a washing machine in a cupboard and has all extras such as ironing board, iron, Hoover, cleaning products, clothes airer. BBQ outside and six seater outdoor table and chairs. Lodge has ample storage space for clothes etc with drawers, bedside tables and built in sliding door wardrobes in both bedrooms, large mirrors with lights above ideal for getting ready in morning/evening. Main bedroom has memory foam mattress, lovely quality bedding in both rooms. We purchased passes for the clubhouse and use of facilities. The kids enjoyed a variety of activities at the clubhouse for a small charge of £4 each - kayaking, laser tag and archery - plenty more to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back here again, would love to have wifi though.
