Despite living near by I had never visited ardtara. Had a voucher and we were not disappointed. The pork scratching and apple puree when we were greeted was a fab touch. We took the early bird menu and such value for money it was. Flavour of food was amazing. Will Def be back and will purchase gift vouchers for Christmas to share with family and friends.

This is a very friendly place to eat with beautiful food. Good size portions served in very comfortable surroundings.
Only negative is they have a very limited choice and not suitable for very plain eaters
We were only there for Sunday lunch so can't speak for anything else

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed our Sunday lunch; if there are ever any plain eaters in your party, simply let us know upon ordering and our team of chefs will be able to prepare something more simple for them to suit their palate.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have stayed for a weekend break at Adtara House.
It was our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect romantic getaway.
The house is beautifully restored and is oozing with charm. From the grand piano in the entrance to the sumptuous sofas in the lounge area.
We stayed in the front downstairs bedroom which was lovely, spotless and very spacious. The view was so pretty looking on to the front lawn. The bed was so comfortable and after a long day exploring the local area we had a great nights sleep.
Our fine dining experience in the restaurant was amazing.
The food is sourced locally with a lot of the produce coming from the poly tunnel which is on the grounds. It was great to have a guide on the menu as to which wine complemented each dish.
My favourite dishes were the crab starter and the cauliflower soup.
The homemade breads were delicious too.
Finally one thing that always makes a stay so great is the staff.
Everyone at Adtara was so friendly warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much for them.
I love the personal feel of the place.
I couldn't recommended Adtara House enough.

This is a lovely country house style hotel in a former linen mill owner's mansion. We had a huge and stylish well appointed room. Dinner was superb, well served by efficient and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. After the quality of the dinner, breakfast, while good, was perhaps a little disappointing. That said we had a brilliant time and will definitely be back.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Your words are very kind and if you had the time I would really appreciate it if you could let me know a bit more about your breakfast experience, as it is the only way that we are able to improve. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see you again though.
