We have visited Thurnham Haĺl 3 times this year the staff can't do enough for you, the surrounding are very relaxing probably one of the best night sleeps I've had. Thurnham Hall is 4 miles from Lancaster I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Our accomodation was a beautiful spacious studio. Massive double bed which I found very comfortable, my wife thought it a tad too firm. Two lovely chairs in which to watch TV or a DVD on the supplied player. There are numerous free dvd, s to borrow from the library . full size fridge/freezer. Kettle , toaster , dishwasher, coffee maker, everything you need is provided. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful especially Ash in the leisure center, we visited the pool on 2 occassions, on both of these he was constantly cleaning, The wi-fi was quick and constant , although the hotel appeared to be full, we hardly seen any other guests during our stay. we look forward to returning

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in November.
Check in was great , had few drinks at the bar , staff very welcoming . Sat in the main hall which is beautiful , a lovely peaceful night away , the grounds are lovely to walk round , are room was lovely and clean can not fault it . Will be returning maybe eat in the restaurant next time .

We accidentally booked the wrong Thursday (one week out) through booking.com and failed to notice until too late. When asking about the possibility of moving the date they hid behind booking.com (who were more than helpful in pursuing a change). I find it strange given we had paid, Thurnham Hall were not out of pocket (given we hadn’t stayed the previous Thursday) and the fact we would no doubt have a meal etc. there if they did change the date to the following Thursday? The hotel is nowhere near full (on either date) so why not help us out given it was an honest error? I caveat this by saying it was my fault of course but why not do the honest thing...

Note: this is not a review of the hotel or facilities which I am sure are fine, just thought I’d highlight how a big company treats honest guests who have made an honest error.

We booked a studio apartment for Halloween, the apartment was excellent, all the mod cons, spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay, the grounds are really nice with a long sweeping drive right up to the focal point of the resort, the Jacobean manor house, this building is outstanding, well worth a visit just to view and have a walk around, there is an adjoining church, which has been converted to a bar, all the fixtures and fittings are to a very high standard, a roaring fire added to the welcome. Check in was faultless, a helpful young lady gave us all the necessary information to have an enjoyable stay. One minor problem, we went down for breakfast and enquired at reception if there was any one serving, no one seemed available, we decided after a ten minute wait to go in to Lancaster and eat there. The check in is very late also at 4.00 p.m. along with check out at 10.00 a.m., even though breakfast is served till 10.30 a.m., just felt a bit rushed and didn't really give enough time to enjoy the facilities that where available. All in all a great stay, very good value, definitely one to revisit in the future.
