“Great location, accomodates muddy boot types, a bit fussy”
Reviewed 3 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

With Offa Dykes walk starting at the back garden and the river in view, this is a great location for cycling or walking. Deer was seen in the garden. Sitting right on the border of England and Wales, the local pub 5 mins away over the river over the bridge has great real ale and country wines and a huge collection of cider. The Ostrich is a charming 45 min walk or 5 minute drive away and has amazing food with cosy fires. For fine dining there's a large range of alternatives. Inglewood has large rooms with period features that are in the process of being restored. The bathroom in the Red room was massive and the bath lovely after a days walking. There's loads of toiletries if you have left anything behind. There's a dry secure area for bikes and a pretty garden for sitting out. The porch is great for leaving your boots at the door. The breakfast is huge and there's sweets, cake, biscuits and a huge range of teas left about the shared living room along with a fridge so plenty of snacks and places to store your own goodies. However, it was a little fussy - not much room for longer stays to put stuff away as spare drawers are filled with bedding and every piece of furniture has something on it leaving a shortage of room for your own stuff. Also the owners tried super hard to please especially with dietary requirements. This was nice but did make you feel a bit molly coddled and obligated to eat all of the special food put out which there was plenty of. Fruit was left out as well and whilst the strawberries were lovely some fruit was overripe and had to throw away some apples that had gone rotten at the core. Would suggest pairing down some of the extras to allow for easier provisioning and more room for guest personal space and enjoyment.

Hi Sam, Thank you for your full and detailed review. We are a relatively new business and are keen to learn about how we can improve. Feedback from guests in invaluable and much appreciated. The drawer space is being addressed. I can only apologise about the apples and would have liked to have had the opportunity to have rectified the situation at the time. We had bought in a lot of organic fruit which does not keep very well and clearly not kept an eye on it. Once again apologies.
We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us at Inglewood House.

“Welcoming, Warm and Amazing breakfast”
Reviewed 24 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

This has been my second visit to Inglewood House. Each time I visited I was treated as a royalty. Breakfast is amazing. Very comfy bed. Ms Siobhan made sure I was warm and comfortable. There a lot walks around the Redbrook, Tintren Abbey is not too far away. Local pub near by has collection ale, ciders and good food.. As I had a morning flight from London, Mrs Siobham packed sandwich and fruit for the journey.

Thank you Mrs Siobham and Michael for your hospitality.

I would highly recommend and I would visit again.

“Accommodating, kind and consciencious host, beautiful country house.”
Reviewed 15 December 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed as a group of 8 here at Inglwood house during a rugby world cup weekend and occupied the whole house with no problems. Siobhan was very kind and accommodating to all our needs and was very easy to contact and liaise with when planning the stay. Very reasonable price. Excellent breakfast prepared fresh and to our preference. Rooms were spacious and pleasant to be in with clean bathrooms. Felt at home at all times.

“Welcoming place to walk from”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Siobhan was enormously welcoming, bringing up delicious freshly baked cake to the room soon after we arrived. We had the top floor to ourselves - it would be great for a family as there is a double and triple room, bathroom and tea making facilities. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious - the homemade dried fruit compote was particularly awesome. Redbrook was a lovely point to walk from, in the Wye valley and a skip up to the Offa's dyke path.

“a very comfortable stay with an amazing breakfast”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We were made to feel very welcome, shown around the room and facilities for making tea and coffee in a guests sitting area on the first floor. We had a very comfortable 3 bed room on the second floor with a shower room next to it.
We had a choice of two pubs within easy walking distance for an evening meal and chose The Boat just on the other side of the river Wye. in Wales, accessed by a footbridge. A small, friendly pub with good value home cooked meals and a very large selection of ales and ciders.
Breakfast the next morning was wonderful - cereal, fruit, yogurt, local bread, homemade muffins and a cooked breakfast locally sourced. Set the teenagers up for the rest of the day!
Thank you to Siobhan and her husband for making us so welcome.
