Country location, dark skies, peace and quiet. What more can you ask for for a good night's sleep?
Well, there's free internet, sweets, home-baked Dorset Apple Cake, on-site parking, friendly welcome, village history and a cooked breakfast to start you off. Most amazing thing was how scrupulously clean, fresh and new everything seemed. Not a speck of dust and everything as shiny as the day it was installed.
AND - the Sausage Test passed with flying colours!

Upon arrival our host Paul greeted us with an umbrella as it was raining and took our bags inside. The house is beautiful and so clean, very tastefully decorated too.
Showing us to our room and leaving us to settle he brought us up some Devon apple cake which was delicious.
The rooms are spacious with plenty of furniture and we had 2 double beds as I was with my mum. Again spotlessly clean and extremely tastefully decorated.
The bathroom was gleaming and all the glass in the shower was spotless.
Very comfortable clean beds and very generous tea tray.
Breakfast was delicious, and Paul cooks everything to your liking.
I cannot recommend Quiet Woman House enough, most enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning.
Well done Paul and thank you

Hi. The four of us had decided to spend a weekend visiting three local museums (Tank museum, Fleet Air Arm museum and Haynes car Museum) On arrival at the Quiet Women House we were greeted by Paul with a much needed cup of tea and slice of cake, our rooms were just what we needed. Large and comfy beds and everything was spotless (my good lady has worked in the hotel industry so knows where to look!). We went to the pub ( The Fox). Very good meal well priced. Our breakfast the next day was spot on in both quality and quantity. Paul made us feel very welcome and I would happily stay here again and take my friends and family to stay here.

A real gem in a world of providers of accommodation.

I tried really hard to find the weak spot but there was absolutely nothing lacking in this very special B&B in rural Dorset. From the ease of parking and willing assistance with luggage, to the delicious cake with hot drink on arrival, and the excellent breakfast, our every need was catered for.
The garden is delightful, the bedding and towels luxurious, and the helpfulness and friendliness of hosts, Paul and Lisa, second to none. Nothing was too much trouble - thank you so much.

Room Tip: Room 2 has a walk-in shower which is so much easier than having to hop into the bath for a shower.

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding near by. Paul the owner was very friendly and informative and knowledgable about the area ...he pointed us in the right direction for a lovely meal in a local pub. The accommodation was comfortable and equipped with everything you could want comfortable and spotless decorated to a very high standard... the little touches like being offered cake on arrival and fresh milk in our room in a flask all made it feel special.., oh and of course a delicious breakfast... would certainly stay here again.
