Fantastic location, Really nice hosts, very cosy interior, delicious breakfast in the morning, only negative was in the Lucknow suite, not sure if it is same with the others, they push 2 twin beds together rather than 1 double/king. very uncomfortable mattress also. Couldn't understand why for an adult retreat they would do that.
For the $250 per night we paid, you can hunt around and get better in the same area.

My wife and I stayed here recently. We were looked after so well from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. There is nothing at Stocks not to like,it really is all class and Lyn & Gordon are superb yet unobtrusive hosts. We noted that they worked together as a team to tender to our needs which impressed us immensely.
I have to say that breakfast was a truly memorable experience rarely seen elsewhere in all the years we have travelled worldwide.
Living locally we feel sure that we shall return soon.

Fantastic ambience, scenery and food. The breakfast was beyond our expectations and five star treatment was received. The warmth and homely atmosphere made it even more pleasant. Would definitely go there again.Hosts Gordon and Lyn made us more than welcome.

On our last weekend of our visit to Western Australia we were so lucky to find Stocks Country Retreat. We were very tied after touring for three weeks and looking for a relaxing stay before our return journey to Queensland. The dinner at night was excellent but the breakfast next morning was even better if that is possible. We haven't stopped talking about this wonderful gem of a B&B for weeks. Definately recommend to our friends.

This was a gem. We had the garden room which had its own private terrace with a view over the garden and pool. Breakfast was delicious and huge with lots of fresh fruit (cut up lovingly by Gordon) and a yummy cooked course which varied daily. We ate breakfast and dinner on the terrace. At nights we had a BBQ pack that we cooked (on Hank's old BBQ)and enjoyed it with a bottle of wine (from the Swan Valley) and a fresh salad made by Lyn. (Lyn will also cook dinner,) Early mornings we would go for a scenic walk and see lots of kangaroos. Then it was off to explore the nearby wineries of the Swan Valley. This was true tranquility and only a stones throw from Perth.
