reading other reviews we headed to this restaurant after eating the day before at Aroma in Fabro. it was 7.30 pm, only 2 tables and 8 people were there. the owner speaks no English and can be of no help. the menu is very poor. they had antipasti and other dishes of hors doevres put on a long table for 5 euros, but with plastic dishes... food was not to our liking at all. the prices were similar to Aroma, but they have to work real hard to resemble Aroma !

My wife's sister visits this area frequently so when asked to name any good restaurants this was her favourite. My and 2 other families stayed in Citta della Pieve and this was the best meal during our 8 day holiday. The restaurant is quite informal, has a lovely vaulted ceiling with a great array of good and fine wines stacked on the shelves. The host was extremely welcoming and catered for our every need, including the 5 kids! The steaks were fantastic! When I'm back in the area I will certainly visit her again.

We saw a sign to this restaurant whilst out driving; checked on the reviews in TripAdvisor; & decided to eat lunch there. What a pleasant surprise. A cool underground vault of a 500 century castle in a charming little hilltop village just above Fabro. Busy in the evenings (especially weekends when it is best to reserve a table), my husband & I were the only ones eating today. This gave us time to chat with the Cuban sous chef/ waiter, Adrian, & the Spanish chef, Jonni. Both delightful people & happy to suggest things. We had an excellent dish of homemade tagliatelle with black Tartufo from Fabro, followed by Jonni's new creation - Panna Cotta al Té which was lovely. Well worth coming back.

Got taken to this hidden gem recently for birthday celebrations. The dining room is a vast underground vault that manages to be cosy. The proprietor is a really charming gentleman who has a passion for food and a real nose for fantastic wine. During a four day gastronomic tour, this place stood head and shoulders above the rest.
Perfect ingredients cooked to perfection served with the smoothest local wines.

Some friends took us to this restaurant recently as they have been coming here for many years. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting in the mountains. Julianno, who owns the business is so friendly and welcoming.

The proof of the pudding of course...and it didn't fail to deliver. The best Aubergine Parmigiano ever, followed by an excellent pasta dish all washed down with one of the local bio dynamic wines (which you should try by the way to avoid an hangover in the morning!)

Such a great place, only sad it's not at the end of my street.

If you want authentic Italian, stop here.
